Just picked up my X6M
Will post some pictures here shortly. First of all, I got some questions of the merino Leather, what kind of product u guys choose to treat your leather seat, and I found the merino leather is really soft, very easy to get creases on the seat, especially on the driver's side(the high bolster on the side where you climb out) Second thing is that, I found the gas consumption is ridiculous high, currently with gentle driving, in city 19.5 L/100 Km, is that normal in the first break in period? Appreciate any comments |

Congrats on your X6 M, it looks awesome!
I use the leather master products (shop.unitersna.com) on my seats (mugello red), and doors. I applied the protection cream (matte version) to all the leather surfaces, e.g. leather seats/seat backs, and all the doors within the first couple of days of picking the vehicle up. I applied leather barrier to the two front seat bottoms, since they will get used most, to prevent dye transfer from jeans and other clothing. Since then, I have used both the soft, and strong cleaners on various sections with great success. I purchased leather vital to condition the seats down the road. None of these products has changed the feel of the leather, or the color of the leather. I am still researching what products I want to use on the dashboard. I will, most likely, use the same products, but want to research more, since this is the first vehicle I've owned with a leather dashboard. If anyone has advice on the dashboard, please let me know. |

Thanks! That answers my question of what brand to use there. Do you ever use their leather vital to condition the dash to stave off sun damage?

Gas mileage is just going to be poor. It's 556 hp and 5,000 pounds.
Congrats though, you will love it. I own one and a R8 V10. it's almost as fast 0-60. I leave mine in M mode and use the paddles almost 100% of the time as I'm a manual guy and prefer to feel more involved. Pictures please. |
