Congratulations! These beasts are awesome.

Do you have climate confort windscreen (option SA358)? If so, do you have a green band in your windshield or nothing is visible.

I would very much like that see pictures.

Can you give us your impression of the X5 M? Just curious how you like it in comparison to your M4 - I know they are totally different beasts, but would help since I have a f80 M3. Thanks and congrats!

Hi, the x5m is very fast, but doesn't really excite you like the m4. The exhaust note on the m4 and the drive to me is just great. I had a yas Marina M3 a couple of months ago before my m5. Must admit I love them. Chose the m4 over a c63s which I had my name down for. X5m is deceptively fast, where the m4 you feel the speed, sorry a bit of a stupid way of describing it, but to me it comes down to the emotion you experience from the drive. Looking at getting an Akrapovic exhaust for the m4 in a month or two. X5M is by far the best SUV I have ever owned, better than the new Range Rocer Sport supercharged although the Rangie has a better exhaust note.

Wow! This is standard - sport seats? The first time I see them alive in F85.
Could you, please, tell about them in more detail. I sat in the 4 MA Multifunctional seats, and I so much didn’t like them (here in more detail http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1142968 ).
From all seats, comfortable in BMW the most convenient, but for some reason they can’t be installed in the F85, even as an option.
You sit comfortably in Sport seats? How tall are you? Did your back get tired? Is there a sliding part for thigh support?

Thank you

Hi I didn't want the multifunction seats, these are the standard seats on the x5m and are very comfortable. I am 1.8m tall and can sit perfectly fine in these seats, multifunction was quite hard and uncomfortable for me, but it is a personal choice. These sit very similar to the comfort seats I had on my diesel x5 F15. They have manual thigh support

Thank God, I'm not the only one who thinks that 4MA Multifunctional seats are complete trash.

But I have small doubts about Sports seats.
1. Whether their unregulated side support is enough to hold in turns in F85?
2. Whether it is possible to find a convenient position, that it were comfortable to sit in traffic jams, at least approximately as in Comfort seats?
3. Whether the back will hurt in everyday driving?

P.S. I in general thought to buy F85 and to install there Comfort seats from F15. But when I realized how many difficulties will be, financial losses, losses of a guarantee and so on, I decided not to do so.

I've already thought to buy M50D, instead of F85, only because of Comfort seats. I know that you also had M50D. Please tell me, you do not regret that you changed M50D with Comfort seats on F85 with Sport seats?

Hi no regrets except fuel bill ?. The sport seats are really very comfortable, these ones seem to be more comfortable that those in the m sport model. The m50d was awesome but the F85 is just on another level. My m50d had comfort seats and really these sport seats are really close to the comfort seats.

Thanks for the information (it is truly unique in the internet).
I.e. as far as I understand, for a daily driving you advise to take X5M with sports seats, instead of M50D with comfort seats?

Could you please tell, what the consumption of gasoline in the X5M and M50D, in the following modes
1. Floor the gas pedal
2. Normal city driving. Sometimes flooring the gas pedal, sometimes quietly

What do you think, it is worth to take Heads up display in X5M / M50D? In my opinion it will distract.

Thank you in advance

Fuel consumption

M50d - city / highway driving 8.6l/100km
Flooring it - approx 10.1l/100km

X5m - city driving only - 16l/100km
highway driving - 14.1l/100
Flooring it - approx 19l/100

For me the x5m was the best of the m5 and the x5 in one package. I don't track my cars.

If you doing very long distance traveling and looking for comfort and fuel economy with really brilliant diesel performance then the m50d is a great option, it really is. You would not be disappointed.

I could not really say that either seats are uncomfortable, these seats I have on the x5m are as comfortable as the comfort seats I had on the m50d. On the invoice it says M sports seats, so maybe they the same as the F15 seats

I love the HUD, on the m50d and x5m it comes standard. You do have the option to switch it off completely as well

I understand that I already bothered you a little bit, simply I within a couple of days have to make the decision about the car.

Tell please, you have no regrets that in your F85 installed Sports Seats, instead of Comfort Seats? You are totally satisfied with these seats?

If not a secret, how much is your car? In Ukraine F85 in a standard package costs about 125000 USD.

Hi, no hassle at all

Totally satisfied with seats on F85

Here the X5m is approx 154000 USD

It is always a difficult decision. Sometimes these decisions come down to an emotional one, your brain will tell you m50d, your heart the X5m. I also battled for a while with that. My dealer made me a two car deal eventually I could not refuse.

Do you use manual shifting? And whether it is so necessary HUD for this? Or, you can easily shift gears without the HUD, as is done on all the supercars?

In Ukraine the HUD it is not standard option and it costs about 2000 USD
