2014 BMW X5 vs 2015 Audi Q7 [Photo Comparo]
Really disappointed by the new Q7. It is fortunately shorter than the huge previous generation but it looks more like a wagon than an SUV and the nav screen seems ridiculously small

I like Audi's more than BMW's but that new Q7 doesn't look good to my eyes. Looks like an elevated station wagon/mini-van. Interior is not bad though but really small infotainment screen. Still prefer X5 > Cayenne > Q7. If the Cayenne had a better infotainment system, would have gone for that. X5 looks more "manly" which I like.

I thought it was a station wagon lol I was expecting more, not liking it at all! Don't like those huge lights in the bumper! Plus the screen looks like it was an after thought, too high.

No comparison. It looks a lot lower, almost like a minivan or wagon.
The illusion is caused by those huge fenders/flares going up so high and that silver side accent, what is up with that? I bet it looks a lot better in person and in black or another color (as much as I love the blue). What's up with these new generation Germans and their rounded backs? Even F15 went with the softer back compared to E70, and now Q7 is doing it. I don't get it. You make a $70k SUV that's been softened in the back with a curvy roof and turned into a playdoh mold just to cut the emissions? This is why I still respect Range Rover's design, the only true boxy SUV that's still out there. Front end is more VW than Audi.

4400 pounds should really help this new Q7 in terms of performance, handling, and efficiency. Just for reference: a 6 cylinder X5 is around 4800 pounds.

For context, I don't hate wagons and I bet this thing (if the production version is this low) drives pretty well. |

The all-digital instrument cluster is the only thing that looks good on the Q7. Looks like they lifted it straight from the new TT. Everything else is a step backwards IMO. Can't believe it took them this long to come up with this!
And the really scary part is that's the S-Line (sportiest) trim. Can you imagine how bad this will look in base form? The weight savings are impressive though. Too bad it fails everywhere else. |

I've always been a big fan of the Q7, but this new design looks more like a station wagon. I'm not sure I like it, but I'd have to see it in person.

hahaha, the q7 really looks like a minivan, would be interesting to see them Audi guys putting on 22" wheels and lowering that car, talk about LOW rider :-) joke a side, it’s kind of sad the last q7 was truly land breaking in its design back in 2006 or so and that model still is holding up pretty good whit the s-line package, and W12 is unique a real diesel monster! Did you guys in NA get the Audi Q7 W12?

What are you all smoking?! I think the Q looks so much more refined and easier on the eyes than the X, and worlds more appealing than the previous gen. Driving the Q wouldn't make you look like a douche either!
