Knocking/gurgle when driving on even surface

Hi All!

As this is my first post I'd like to welcome all X5/forum users! First beer one me!

I'm slowly loosing hope on my quite fresh purchase... Since two months I'm fighting with a strange suspension dull knocking/gurgle (??, I'm not able to describe this sound). It's audible when I drive on a quite even, but a little wavy/corrugated surface. The sound is very dull, but the frequency of the knocking is proportional to the bumps on the road. As I've said it's not a solid knock/click, but kind of a...dull rattling?

First of all let me tell what have I replaced:
- front shock absorbers (right one was leaking).
-Thrust arm bushings
-Lower control arm

What I'm planning to replace:
-Engine mounts (workshop confirmed one the mounts in quite crushed)
-both steering rods + tie rod ends
-Sway bar links in the front and rear
-Was also thinking about the strut mounts, but garage told me they are "panzer" :P

Before I do that just wanted to ask if I should look somewhere else?
Maybe some known issue in our F15?
Really getting crazy with this sound...
Thanks in advance guys!

Wishbone aka front control arm? These are know to be a weak sport for F15 platform:

Hi Red. That wishbone I have also replaced (not OE, but Lemforder one), but the knocking was still there...
But yesterday when I closed the hood I've noticed something interesting:

https://streamable.com/l1fzx4

(hope the video is playable).

So when I push the mask without much strenght, there is a audible knocking and the reason seems to be the locks ( too much space between locks and bolt lock in mask). Those bolts have an adjustment, but the aluminum nuts are corroded so much they won't even move... I've already ordered new mask locks so I can tighten them to sit in locks properly....hope that will be the case!

I'll let know on the final effect...

Let us know what you find. I'm also interested in the video link but wasn't able to view. Curious if I'm dealing with same issue maybe.

X5 guy - try the new link - https://files.fm/u/ch6jtbs8tg (seems the old one has expired).

OK, so I've installed new upper locks, made proper adjustments I've made the lock bolt shorter about 0,5 cm). The mask started to close very difficult - need to slam it quite hard ( previously I was closing it with just "finger push"). Then I realized I'm getting the "open hood" error (left lock on passenger side was not jumping in the locking mechanism) and I needed to loose the tension a little bit on the adjustment screws on both locks...

Made a test drive, even though the hood is now not "clicking", the noises from first post are still here ...

Well, on saturday will be replacing the engine mounts...

PS. The steerings rods and tie rod ends + sway bar links replaced as well - nothing changed as well.

New engine mounts installed - no change when it comes to knocking (just less vibrations overall).

Thinking where to look now...steering rack play?
