@Shaw Great pics. The grey color was one of the colors in my wishlist. Went with the blue at the end.
Anyway, my SA let me know that also my X5 35d order from 12/30 is now in status 112 "Scheduled for daily production". Things seem to be moving! |

Order by all new BMW X6 40D on December 29 of last year and this week my car is being manufactured. Delivery is scheduled for week 15 (mid of April). But knowing the dealer the car always arrives earlier.....exceeding expectations to to say......
Individual colour, but that should not cause the long time frame between production and delivery, as I assume the car is produced within 24 hours...... |

My production seems to have slipped a week or so. Original "Conf. Prod." as of 12/19 was week 6. Just got an email from my CA and now it's week 7 . Looks to have gone to status 112 on 1/21/2016. Starting to get antsy.

Ordered my 2016 X5 35d back in mid-December 2015 (dealer already had allocation and changed the options) and it was built in the second week of 2016. Vehicle's now at the dealer so planning to go pick it up in a few days!
Went with pretty simple options: 3E2 - Xline 2D4 - 19" Star Spoke Lt Alloy Wheels, style 449 Z3E - Premium Package Enhanced 4CV - Fineline Oak Wood Trim A89 - Imperial Blue Metallic LCSW - Black Dakota Leather I find the blue/silver exterior with black interior works well, but that's a personal choice! Ok...so here's one you've never heard before...
Day 1 after delivery ....no matter how well you think you've checked the vehicle before delivery .... I found out that the headrest on passenger side is disconnected from the electric buttons....so simply they'd forgotten to connect that part...as a result the headrest wouldn't move and since it was loose, it would not adjust and kept dropping... So the car was back in service after a day with 100 miles on it...so it brought up the question of why the hell are we paying $2,000 for PDI.... So as it was an internal issue and in order to fix it they basically had to gut out the seat and connect the piece, not to mention the whole rear entertainment, etc. I was totally disgusted .... and here comes the climax...for those of you who followed my crusade with the whole diesel fiasco, I had ordered an exact identical car but gas (35i) a couple months earlier that is still sitting at the dealership....so...ding....I asked for an immediate seat swap! Seems like that car will remain at the dealership as a spare part for my 35d....lol I'm just thinking how strange, weird and good that 35i's whole being was....who knew! They also did an entire PDI redo plus offered me a free car care spa and treatment come spring. I will pick it up on Saturday and we'll see what will be my next battle....what a story ....don't think if it's over yet though... Last edited by Shaw; 02-12-2016 at 07:23 AM.. |

That would work too!
Re: PDI's... I'm not entirely sure what they actually go through and test, but I doubt it's every last feature/button/etc. Don't get me wrong, for the price it should be, but it's probably just more of a high level 'review' that everything seems to be ok. Kal |

Quick update. X5 35d went into production yesterday. Ordered 12/30 and production start on 2/16. Roughly 7 weeks. Awful. A real European experience.
Delivery will be March. I hate the games BMW are playing with the incentives. You don't know what you'll be getting since some incentives like the current $1500 winter adder expire at the end of February. Unbelievable that we have to deal with this with a luxury brand like BMW. All incentives should be lockable so you know what you'll be paying for the vehicle when you order it. I guess You can tell how much of my initial excitement faded away after this long wait. Now I'll be getting my all wheel drive when winter weather is over here in CA. |

I feel your pain. Any chance was your build quoted to be completed in the 8th week of the year? Just trying to see if this is a pattern. Thrasherlife was quoted the 7th week and went into production the Tuesday before you. I was quoted the 9th week, so wondering if I will finally see status 150 on the 23rd.
