Not sure how this works, but you code ask BimmerTech: http://www.bimmer-tech.net/shop/bmw-f15-2013/connecteddrive-retrofits/sirius-satellite-radio-retrofit

Based on @Socal2025 statement, the hardware is in the car already. Just need to be coded then activated.
Not sure if that would be the case with you in Mexico.

@skalberti, @r33, @wdimagineer, anyone know if I will need to code anything when replacing my Sport Steering Wheel with the M-Sport Steering Wheel? I read somewhere I think that there may be coding involved for the Paddle Shifters. Thank you.

@opasha, I think you can code the paddle shifter.
Never done it yet though.

Below is a lengthy thread on wheel conversion on an E70, with limited success.

Ah, yeah, I ended up just finding that and reading through. That's annoying. I'll have to hunt for more tutorials. Thanks, John.

Have 2 questions. Thanks to anybody answering.
1- in 2015 F15 I can find KAFAS2 but no plain KAFAS module, so I assumed that it is the same, am I right?
2- On the same model car, did anybody out there code the WEATHER BAND RADIO in HU_NBT? Did it work?
Thanks.

1) Kafas2 is the same as Kafas... just updated like BDC_Body is from what I have read.

2) Supposedly weather band radio cannot be coded if it's under HU_NBT. For HU_CIC it could be. I think this is for all new BMWs in the US.

Hopefully more can comment. That's the information I gathered in 10 minutes from reading BMW forums where shawnsheridan discussed in 2013 regarding all BMWs with weather band radio in NBT.

@skalberti, have you read this thread?? http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/arc...60719-p-2.html. OMG, lots of information all the way up to Sept 7, 2014 regarding adaptive headlights (Bi-Xenon and LED). I read in there that we can get anti-dazzle for our Xenons by coding HBA? Am I misunderstanding something?? Can you read through this for me if you haven't already and let me know what exactly is valuable in this thread? Thanks, buddy.

Coding for Dummies

Post retracted. Thank you @skalberti for pointing me to existing threads. Most of what I was trying to do has been done. Ignore the original post below, now in gray, with the link cut off:

Thank you @opasha. I have take your great work, couple it with work by @April1 on the other thread, and work from @skalberti and many others and combined as much as I could understand into one document. There is no original work by me; consider my work as secretarial thus far.

More importantly, I have sent PMs to the forum's coding elders asking for participation as the document is an early draft and needs their input and stamp of approval.

Some of codes are still blank because I could not follow the format from the various threads.

I hope to close access soon so that it is "read only" except for those who have edit rights. Looking for the PM'd folks to step up and sign up to edit, if not take ownership of the doc.

Anyone else whom I have missed and is well versed/experienced in coding, please contact me so that I can add you as an editor.

Yep I'm in the post I had this coded in my car in October of last year. I didn't release on the forums because I wanted to test before sharing. I contributed some testing data on the speed switching and stuff. Initially people were telling me that our cars lacked the hardware, which cost wise that didn't make sense. So I compared our headlights to euro headlights on realoem.com and they were the same. My friend octopump got a hold of some VO dumps from a couple euro M5's and we worked together on this.

HBA can't be coded. You have to have the KAFAS camera and the HBA switch on the BC stalk. Where you normally have 1 button in the BC stalk, with HBA you have 2. So you have to have the hardware first.

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you very much for clarifying .

How can I find out if I have the anti-dazzle feature on my vehicle? I do have high beam assist which seams to turn high beam on and off with oncoming traffic but I don't know if the headlights actually move to avoid blinding the vehicle in from like some of the videos posted on this forum. Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't think Canada has it because it's strictly a European feature that was factory coded in. You have to code it as mentioned in this thread for it to work. However, I can't be too sure about Canada...maybe some fellow Canadians can comment. Thank you .

For reference, have a look at my videos showing Euro spec LED's with anti-dazzle - fast forward to 1:00 to save time

Thanks, @Catflap. I'll add these to the OP so people understand what these features do exactly.

You are right, Canada Spec Bimmers are also decoded for the Anti-dazzle Highbeam feature.

Do you code? If so could I get you to send me your cafd files for BDC_BODY and KAFAS2?

Yes, he does . The whole ECO PRO Sailing and LED High Beam and Low Beam switching times were his coding in r33's cheat sheet.

I would like to do a few small things with coding. I am a complete novice but have found a local BMW independent that says they can code.

I'd like mirrors folding when locked, I have power mirrors but
currently they only close when you press the button on door.

Would like radio to turn off when door opened not when you lock it.

Would like car to remember last setting for suspension, prefer sport to
comfort, but it defaults to comfort after switched off.

Would like rear lights on with daytime running lights.

Is this all possible? I see from R33's cheat sheet DRL codes, but couldn't see the otters.

I would assume specialist will have them already, but could you guys point me in the direction in case they don't?

Stuart.
