I completely agree with this. It's just a little something extra. If you really want your car to scream, go with a different exhaust. But I love the fact there is no drone at all. Seems stock when in comfort and just cruising around town.

I have the same setup on my car including the rear!

Ordered mine from Auto Talent yesterday along with the intake. Hopefully they are both shipping today.

Are you guys leaving the active sound on with the Dinan Exhaust or disabling it?

Sorry to revive an old thread...I was wondering how did individuals go about with raising the Dinan exhaust tips...shorter exhaust hangers, lower mounting point for the exhaust hanger or something totally custom.

Thanks in advance

I love the exhaust the but my only complaints with it are the tips are one size too small and they hang too low not filling out the rear diffuser. If there is a solution for this please share.

So did a little bit of research and found shorter rubber exhaust hangers that I bought from Amazon that worked very well. Raised up the exhaust tips about 20mm without any of the exhaust components hitting the heat shield. It now sits very similar to Alan I. set up.

Overall, it reduced the gap and very happy with how the tips sit with the diffuser. Below is the amazon link to the hangers:

Autobahn88 Universal Exhaust Muffler Hanger Bushing, 2 Holes, 10mm (0.4") Hole Size, fits for Honda, Mazda, Subaru - Yellow https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LOPWIM2..._MQRNDb99VF4JG

Exhaust was very easy, support the exhaust with a floor jack, remove the two bolts for the hanger mount and then replace the rubber hanger, install back the hanger mount with the two bolts and then repeat for the other side. Total time it took for me to replace the rubber hangers was 30 minutes.

Hope this helps iconoclast and for everyone else with Dinan exhaust.

I had mine installed 3 weeks ago. One side is sitting lower than the other side. Any idea how to adjust the height? Please share your experience with your shop. Thank you.

I just bought the hangers from Amazon as you recommended. My diffuser is OEM and I hope they will look the same height like yours after replace them.

If one side sits lower than the other, you may have to loosen up the connecting clamps in order to level out both sides prior to tightening them again. If that doesn't help then check your rubber hangers, one or both may be worn out.

Not sure how it would look but I'm sure it will help raise the tips up. Post pics once you have the new hangers on

I got the hangers from Amazon. The front nut is blocked by the factory hanger which I cannot figured out a way to loosen it.

I guess I will need to bring the car to a local shop and have the technician with proper tools to make the adjustment for me....

Necropost...got my Dinan system on the way and I also ordered the exhaust valve controller (key fob activation).

Can't wait to get it on. I want the car a bit louder but to remain tame/civilized when need be for work.

Sounds like this Dinan setup was a good choice.

Other question - would one still see a solid increase in sound and performance doing a Dinan CAI and exhaust only setup? I don't want to Dinantronics tune the car at this point...

Thanks.

Performance increase in terms of raw power would be minimal for both items without tuning to take full advantage of them (CAI specifically). For all intents and purposes both would essentially be an aesthetic / sound modification.

An axleback exhaust in general offers little additional power. Where it does is typically at the very top end of the power band. However, that handful of HP on a car that is already 500+HP means you would never notice the minor difference. The intake has a bit more performance benefit by way of improved throttle response and efficiency but like the exhaust you would be hard pressed to tell a true power difference.
