What is your current mileage?
I saw a thread similar to this on diesels, but wondering where everyone is at with their X5 and what their experience has been to date?
2016 X5 M-Sport 35i - 100k miles. Daily driver. I am starting to think if I should replace it and get into something newer as I am not sure what to expect maintenance/reliability wise going forward. Outside of regular maintenance the two small issues I had were the coolant temp sensor and rear airbags go around 80k miles. Other than that it has been trouble free driving. I'd like to keep the car and this thread is my biased attempt to convince myself that it's the right thing to do by seeing examples of other higher mileage X5's that have hopefully been relatively trouble free. |

2017 50i, 36K miles.
Only 1 issue has come up - upper oil pan gasket leak. Due to the low mileage BMW good-willed the repair (thankfully, dealer cost was $5500 or something). |

122K all heavy maintenance completed at 90K. Ideally it should be current on maintenance until 200K. Although car is a money pit with labor and parts costs.

Just curious, what is the heavy maintenance? Mine has 100k and I just did coils/plugs, front and rear diff fluids, trans filter/pan/fluid, and transfer case fluid/calibration.

2018 X5 50i. Has 44K miles on it so far. Bought it CPO in 2020 with less than 20K miles. Only thing I have done is change tires. Oil change every 6 months so far…

Ive gotten all leaks and maintenance done with OEM parts. Valve cover and gasket, Oil Pan Gasket and Bolts, Vacuum Hose Replaced, OFHG and Water Pump, Rear Main seal replaced but was not leaking but did it anyways, Trans Pan and fluid, Transfer case drain plug and Fluid Changed And Recalibrated, NGK Spark Plugs and Delphi Coil Pack, Drain Plug Gasket and Retap to Honda M14-1.5, Brake Pads, Both Batteries, Serpentine Belt, CV Axel Boots, Oil level sensor gasket, Air suspension Bags and Compressor Serviced, Only leak left is the Washer fluid pump but I don't plan on getting it done i just keep it empty. It's too much labor for a simple washer fluid, I Installed Rain-X wipers instead. Also got most parts from FCP Euro for life time warranty. Ive Been Using 5W-40 Liqui Molly Leichtlauf High Tech Oil and MOs2 Additive. Still Need to get my alignment done. These N55s are maintenance heavy as mileage Increases. They require good oil, good quality gas "I only put Shell V Power Nitro + 93 No ethanol" and good tires. My F15 is Tuned on BM3 Stage 1 91 Oct. Heads-up Labor and Parts was not cheap to get all of this done. Also Be very careful with OFHG as Priming is mandatory and failure to do this can lead to killing the engine soon after. I got all of this done at 93K Odo. Currently at 122K Odo. I'd say all these replaced will be once again required after another 100K. Dealership is the worst and An indy is the best.

Yep, with N63TU I’m sure I’ll be having to hit a bunch of that, although some of it is unique to the N55.
Did lower oil pan gasket and adjusted oil pump tension. So far valve cover gaskets are ok, although the PCV system has some leakage on top of the valve cover 🤦‍♂️ |

61k miles on my 2017 xdrive 35i. I picked her up in May of 2022 with 47k on the clock and have absolutely loved every second behind the wheel since.
To date, I’ve added the heated M Sport steering wheel, front and rear Eibach lowering springs, OEM roof bars, a Thule Motion XT XL for trips, tint matched the front two windows to the rear and have done some cosmetic upgrades/coding. I do all routine maintenance (brakes, oil, etc) myself and it’s actually easier than the multiple Infiniti sedans that I’ve owned in the past. Next on the list is to get rid of the stock run flats as well as the addition of the knee bolster mod and eventually the carbon fiber trim mod. |

103k miles All fluids done at 70k again at 100k. ( had issues with transfer case and since I was under there I did them all. Fresh fluid and calibration fixed the issue. Also at 100k did plugs and coils. Been a great car. |

2016 F15 at 117k miles and 0 issues. Bought it in January of 2023 with 114k miles, Outside of regular maintenance nothing has gone wrong. Plan to keep my X5 for hopefully 120k miles or maybe more then get something newer.

I have a 2014 35i with 63k miles and so far no issues except a rear ride height sensor. I have an appointment this week for the ofhg and oil cooler gasket as they’re starting to leak.
I flushed all fluids 3k miles ago and just completed a 3k mile trip.
