OK - for a full coding of my F15 NBT N to enable apple car play they asked me to pay £140.

If I wanted to code using my own resources, what is the supplies that I need

I already have a veepak bluetooth OBD2 that works and I do have a laptop

What are the elements that i need to be able to code? hardware and software please?

It is not just coding. First you need to patch NBT2 EVO and load a full set of custom FSC Codes.

When using Ista+, plus what counts as ignition on? just pressing the ignition button or should I push on the brake and the ignition button?

Just pressing the button not starting engine. You have ENet cable? And Esys plus full psdzdata file? Those are required to do coding, iSteps updates and individual module coding or updates. Ista+ is great for diagnostics on F & G series but to my knowledge you can just do VO or FSC coding or individual modules.

Cheat Sheats replaced long ago with Cheat.xml files for use with LauncherPRO / BimmerUtility.

Cheat Codes are on GitHub:

CarPlay full screen can be coded on newer firmware. Older firmware needs Patch.

It’s a 2018 X6 F16… of course ID 6. Is that new or old firmware… if it can be coded, what is the coding line?

Also, where can I find in that link you sent me the codes for anti-glare and VLD coding? If not there, do u know the codes ?

2018 X6 F16 is not enough to know. It depends on what firmware HU_NBT2 is. Coding in HU_NBT2 is carplay_fullscreen = aktiv.

I do not know the FDL Coding for anti-glare in a 2018 X6 F16. You can search any cheat .xml line with an .xml editor like Notepad++, and search the comments for "anti-glare" or "anti-dazzle" or "GFHB" and "VLD"

Shawn, interested in this, too. I have been used Invisihitch with OEM harness/controller for long time. It has never been set in ISTA or coding, but it has functions of hitch icon, zoom, tailor light out warning, disabling safety features like blind spot warning and open tailgate by key FOB when trailer connected after software upgrade at dealer for a different issue (recall) soon after the hitch installation. Would like to check/set if any swing/stability control is set or available to to set for towing. Thank you as always.
