Power steering sound

Started noticing a sound very similar to the sound you get when you're running low on power steering fluid. Was looking to check if it was low on fluid but couldn't find a reservoir. Did a search but didn't really find anything. Did these n55 motors not come with a reservoir?

Most F15 have electric assist power steering.

Not sure if any F15 had DHP option, which could have hydraulic steering assist.

You get hydraulic steering only if you have one of these options: P7SZA,S217A,S2VPA.

I checked and have the electric steering rack. I guess the small whine is normal then?

The air conditioner compressor can whine. I've noticed it whines when freon is low.
Turn front and rear climate completely off, and see if noise goes away.
