Just ordered m performance footrest for the M sport

Hi, I ordered the footrest knowing it is not "plug and play" for vehicles with the m-package. I understand that some of you installed it with putting in on top of the existing footrest which works fine. Since I have to do this myself, my question is how to install it/glue it and which glue do you recommend.

Car is still at the service being repaired from the hit (while parked) but I know I have to have the footrest as soon as I get it . Thanks a lot!

Its real nice that keyfob. Saw it at the showroom, by the time i went to pick it up they were all gone and reordered. If someone wants one badly i can send it to you. You'd have to pay only the costs. There is a website also in germany http://leebmann24.shopgate.com not sure if they ship to us.

Now on-topic, nobody gave me advice on that footrest

I really like the M Performance Alcantara keyfob cover over the US version... I asked the OP here and found out it is only in EU or Asia.

Loctite clear silicone will make that thing never move... but you better be ready to keep it for the long haul because it will never come off. I've never had experience with the glue that comes with the front splitter, but it should be good enough.

You'll want something that can stand up to the extreme temps (especially cold) and snow/slush that inherently comes with being on the floor well of a car.

I thought about getting it but it seems to add a lot of bulk. forget about putting your keys in your pocket. i saw it in person. the thing is huge and thick.

the key looks so nice, i keep as it is.

The footrest has double-sided tape on the back side. It's plenty strong enough to hold it in place over the existing M Sport footrest. I've done this on every M Sport and M car in recent memory and never had an issue with it detaching.

Thanks a lot!!!! I have it, bought all kinds of glue, will clean the existing one with 75% alcohol and put in the m performance one. Thanks again. Am loving my keyfob too, it is big but looks and feels great, no worries about scratching with other keys and now when i stash the key next to the shifter it is free of rattling. Thanks again

The key holder is great. I picked one up when I was overseas recently.
