we in England tend to not go for TPMS sensors just utilising the revolution comparison flat tyre monitoring - do you have that facility on your cars that could be switched back on, it just utilises ABS sensors.

still unsure on hub sizes.

On ebay, i saw a professional seller claiming that 209 style wheels fit on f15 if not equiped with rdc option. And on the bmw wheeels configurator, you can opt for wheels with tpms alone or wheels with rdc + tpms. So i am assuming that it should work as long as your car is not doesn't give you the exact pressure, but only indicates a loss of pressure via the wheels rotatioon speed thanks to the abs system.

I bought a set of 2011 X5M wheels, had the tires taken off, removed the TPMS sensors, ordered new ones online(E70 and F15 part #'s were different) they should be here Friday. I am having the wheels professionally painted gloss black tomorrow. I was going to test fit them when they were still assembled but didn't. I have the F15 with the M sport flares so the offset should be ok. I heard they changed the F15 hubs to match the E70 X5M's. I guess I will find out Friday. Either I will have a badass looking F15 or another set of wheels on Ebay!!!!!

Tried the website and under the quick search, it doesn't list the X5 for 2014 models. Are you sure they have the new sensors?

Part number 36106856209. Looked it up on realoem.com then entered part number and ordered them. Should be the right ones

The offsets will certainly be different which would mean the old wheels wouldn't fit right. Theres a simple solution if you check the offsets of the stock M sport 20's from the F15 vs the offsets from previous gen X5

I am waiting for the new sensors still. I decided to test fit the rear wheel. The offset looks good, but the x5m wheel hub is 72.6 and the hub on the new x5 is 74 so they do not fit. I tried a front x5m wheel on the rear and it fit perfectly. Anyone know of a good place to get the hub bored out in FL???

Based on BMW Specifications... to be confirmed once F15 is delivered in Feb

Ok... comparisons based on published BMW data ONLY.

What we know about the E70 rims for the standard X5 (not the X5M) is that the center bore for front and rear is 74.1mm with a PCD of 5x120 bolt pattern. E70 OEM 239 rims (BMW 21" upgrade wheels part number 36112161569) are 10"/21" with an offset of ET40 and rears are 11.5"/21" with an offset of ET38.

What we know about the F15 rims for the standard X5 (not the X5M) is that the center bore for front and rear is 74.1mm with a PCD of 5x120 bolt pattern. The F15 OEM 599M rims (BMW 21" upgrade wheels part number 36112349591) are 10"/21" with an offset of ET40 and rears are 11.5"/21" with an offset of ET38.

While I know data can be inaccurate online... here's hoping that it is as simple as purchasing the new TPMS sensors and plug and play. I will confirm once my F15 is delivered. Currently a week 7 confirmed build for X5 35i M Sport.

Sensors are being delivered today finally! I had the rear wheels bored to 74.1 and they fit perfect. I calculated the offsets of both the current 19" Msport wheels and the X5m wheels I'm putting on. Here is what I came up with:

New wheels are 10" compared to factory 9" same ratio of offset as old wheels so the new wheels will stick out 1/2" more and sit in 1/2" more. Rear wheels are the same they will sit out 1" more and sit in 1" more same offset ratio. They should fit perfectly! I have the Msport painted flares also which will help. Can't wait to have those fat tires on there! Hopefully will get it all installed tonight or tomorrow and will update the post!

awesome! Anxious to see if the sensors work out as I may end up going a similar route since everywhere I'm looking for wheels (besides tire rack) can't seem to get them. Which seems ridiculous given how easily you were able to get them. Maybe they're now becoming more available..

Actually, your whole project gives me ideas. I had thought about looking for those same wheels to use as summers and use my stock 19's for winter. I'm still trying to resist the urge to put 20's and low profile tires on with NY potholes ready to bend them all… but I do love those wheels you're putting on.

Ill have pics up tomorrow. Hopefully. Got the sensors today but not enough time to get them mounted. Chrisny I leased my x5 and didn't want to destroy or sell my 19" wheels so I got the twenties. I figure in 3 years when my lease is up I can swap them back and should be able to get atleast what I paid for them. That's why I stayed with oem bmw wheels. Aftermarket wheels you would be lucky to even sell them at all!

Honestly the 20" tires arent that much lower profile then the 19s. Think about it, 1 inch added to diameter of rim is only 1/2" bigger all the way around, same with the tire. You are only losing 1/2 of sidewall. I will post a pic also with the mounted 19" Msport wheel sitting next to the mounted 20" and you can see.

As far as the potholes in NY go, I think a rim would bend just looking at some of those holes. I don't think the extra inch is going to make that much of a difference IMO. If you went to 22" then definitely would be harsh. Anyway good luck!

Here it is complete. Needs to be lowered if you ask me! Offset it perfect! So to sum up, The E70 X5M wheels fit the F15 with rear wheel hub change from 72.6 to 74.1 on the rims only. Fronts fit perfect as well.
