I don't understand BMW thought process here... This car should not be transported uncovered like this... It's crazy.

I used to say the same thing, why aren't they in a covered trailer wrapped in bubble wrap lol… But they are meant to drive on the road, after all..

Why ?
It the only way they are transported by road in most countries.

Even they trains they are transported on from the factories to the ship yards are not totally sealed.

I have seen the transport truck/18 wheeler with Audis under a car cover. Could also be good advertising.

BMW used the "bags"/"car covers" for transporting certain models that went very long distance (especialy X1 and X3 models), but they seem to have stopped using them worldwide.

Its all cost vs benefit.

Audi also mixes and matches.

I have seen both. r33 is only about 120 miles from Oxnard -west coast delivery terminal. If the delivery is not far, I don't think it would be a big deal.

I parked behind this tiny, little thing this afternoon.... Couldn't resist the photo of the two... but gotta admit my bimmer looks totally out of proportions (like a supersized Tripple-Whopper..) when confronted with this iconic, 1970' Italian piece of machinery....
kids were asking: can we drive this baby-Fiat daddy??? please please please.....

That is awesome! I would've snapped pics as well. Talk about evolution of cars over the years. Could literally fit the Fiat in the X5...

You can only exceed your post by taking the same picture with an Isetta or 600. Beautiful.

This is hilarious! Did you see if it would fit in the back of the X5? Seats up or down?

Another photo after a nice wash Love the look without a front plate.

Still looking to upgrade the wheels and can't decide what I want. Probably won't go staggered as I don't want to get the arched flares.

Sunday Brunch. As we were unloading our daughter, a guy walking by said "That's a sweet rig...clean yet dope". I have no idea what that means.

Same wheels as we have on summer tires.
Yes, could have been better/more fancy - but not TOO bad either IMO, looks very OK.
