Simple Cheap Exhaust mod

Last week I picked up my xDrive 50i, very happy with the performance and the sweet sound it makes when you apply the gas.
But me not being satisfied with the sweet note it provides, I started looking around for an aftermarket exhaust the only options are AC Schnitzer, Eisenmann, or Super Sprint all very costly option in Australia because of the shipping and exchange rates.

So I rang a guy who is a Remus Dealer that installed the rear muffler on my E70 X5, went to see him.

He said we can try to delete one of both of the front mufflers and put in place a straight through pipe.

If I wasn't happy he could put one or both back.

So I opted to have both removed.

Well I am really happy with the end result, it provides a better note but not over the top loud because the rear muffler is still there.

This is a very cheap and easy fix which provides a good result that I am extremely happy with

Removing the front resonator(s) has always been an easy way to get a slightly more aggressive sound. The resonators themselves are usually 100% empty/hollow (did you keep them?) as was the case on my Merc. I replaced it with an X-pipe vs straight pipes though, as the latter could make things too loud or could cause droning. Sounds like that's not the case on F15s.

i did same thing w/ my AMGs, removed resonator and replaced w/ x-pipe to give it more of a grunt

That's the key. What does it sound like under load? People usually post vids/sound clips just revving the engine in neutral or park. You always hear the burble when the motor is coming back down from 4-5K RPMs. Sounds nothing like that in motion/under load.
My Merc sounds exactly like stock unless I hit > 3500 RPM under load. Then the rasp/growl awakens. Cruising on a flat street even at 3500 RPM yields no growl.
OP, can you post a clip while driving around, especially under load like going up an incline or downshifting then passing?
