Crazy but totally possible. On a less than perfect tarmac I had the same experience. Imagine if BMW further fines tunes the dynamics in the next M5/M6 with AWD? We would have a real GTR chaser wouldn't we?

Still, I hope they don't forget the RWD dynamics in the process.

The humor is not so nice usually with this guy as he seems to really knock anything BMW usually but I am glad he ragged on Merc this time.

Good result for BMW, but still do not see the point in a X6. Both cars are beyond ugly and don't excel at anything. Need the space get a X5, need to go fast get a M2.

What if I want the space and want to go fast?

The X6(M) isn't that bad looking. Definitely better than the last gen. To me it just looks like a truck a German company would make.

Well it will be faster than an M2 both in a straight line and on track , so track performance isn't why you would pick an M2 over it . It is a little frustrating that the only mass produced M vehicle BMW makes that over performs on track is a damn SAV . Step it up on your M CARS BMW !

Well straight line yes but race track no!
Nurburgring laptime is reported 8:05 for X6M while 7:58 for M2; 7 seconds difference

You'd have to think that with 2 generations of M SUVs with xDrive, when BMW ultimately decides to implement it on the M5 and M6, it's going to come configured correctly because the X5/X6M did all the grunt work to see what works and what doesn't in terms of data.

Well at Big Willow it was faster than an F80 with the same pro driver so it will be faster there than an M2 as well . I care about how cars do on tracks I can actually drive on .

Or maybe in Big Willow M2 is faster than F80 too
You know better than many people here that it depends on the track

Ha ! Nothing would surprise me at this point unfortunately . Again an SUV/ SAV should never be faster on any track than a manufacturers sports car . Great job on the X6M but a major " come on man " to the M division .
