My New 2016 X5M

In a few other posts it was requested that I post photos of my new X5M, so here you go. It has 115 miles on it, and just got LoJacked and Auto Armored at the dealership today. They also installed the CF console and shifter, along with M door projection lights. Dinan exhaust and Stage 1 has been ordered, and Dinan said that they will badge my vehicle! As you can see, I went black on black with the B&O system and night vision. Also went with the 20's, which I regret as there are plenty of options for the 21" rims for winter driving. My trunk came with a spare tire versus the finished extra cargo space. I am currently averaging 9.9mpg.[IMG][/IMG]

Looks amazing! I'm so excited to get mine! Mine is currently in production and should be done on Fri.

Is Dinan really badging your car with only a stage 1 tune and exhaust? I'll have to look into that then.. Do they have black badges? 😬

Dinan badge requires 10 points. Software is 3 points and exhaust is 3 points so, unless there is something else from Dinan going on the car... It doesn't look like it is going to get a badge.

PS, those under door lights looks really good. A lot crisper than I had thought they would be.

Killer. I'm in the minority and really like the 20's. Bought mine that way and would do it again. PZero's are better than most think

I think they are just lens covers that pop in at the bottom of the door, but not 100% certain

You can get them cheap on eBay. I think they are called ghost lights or something like that. I think they are less than $30. If you get it from the dealer, it is quite expensive for what you get. Really easy to put on. You can do both sides in less than 10 min. I did it for a friend. I have mine but haven't installed it yet. I may not install mine. Still undecided.

Congrats! Very bold going with black. Maintenance is a pain but very well worth it. I can't do black cars anymore...

How is Dinan supplying a badge? You must have 10 points in the Dinan system and submit an application to obtain a badge.

F' the Dinan badge. The other 99.999% of people out there will think you have a strange name and decided to put it on the back of your rig.

Congrats! Looks great. Makes me excited to get my '17 (whenever BMW/EPA decides to release it...).

I'm also planning on Dinan Stage 1, exhaust and pedals. That gets me 7 points. By my calculation, you have to buy literally every Dinan offering for the F85 (the above, plus springs and the "supplemental ride quality & handling kit") in order to get to 10 points. Definitely let us know if Dinan will badge your F85 with less than 10 points. Maybe they make an exception because their offerings for the F85 are so slim? Keep us posted on that...

It's impossible to get to 10 points for the F85. I asked my rep to request it, and Dinan approved.

Thanks everyone! I'm loving the drive every day. I'm still figuring this machine out, and finding new things about her daily. She is not only intimidating physically, but the technology is taking a lot of time to figure out. I smile the entire drive and look forward to the commute.

Dan, I'll respectfully disagree... You can get 10, and only 10, points with the current Dinan offerings for the F85:

Stage 1 Tune: 3 points
Exhaust: 3 points
Springs: 2 points
Ride Quality & Handling Kit: 1 point
Pedal Set: 1 point (because everyone knows that aluminum pedals increase performance!)
TOTAL: 10 points

Either way... great that Dinan approved the badge! I'll see if I can get the same with tune, exhaust and pedals.

Indy, I stand corrected! Math was never my strength, but I told my rep that all reviews on messing with F85 springs ends badly, and he agreed, and the pedals are no good in wet/snow conditions which is common where we live. I did promise to upgrade to the cold air and subsequent stage 2 if they would badge early.
Good luck with yours! Can't wait to see the pics!!
