Life after X5M
Hi All!
I've been really enjoying my X5M for the last 30 month and my lease ends in 6 month. Enjoyed the car every single day. Never regretted my choice. However, I am always looking to try something new and now have a hard time finding a replacement. Can't think of a car that I would enjoy as much... 2018 M5 is too small for my family; New Cayanne - looks the same as previous car. Turbo S is too expensive; RR sport SVR - is still an off-roader; ML63 - old body; Maybe alpina B7? What would be your next car? |

- X6M - RS7 or 8 - S63 - GL63 (although I doubt you will like it after x5m) - M5 (not sure why it is too small for you and B7 is not)

RS7 is a great car and is definitely a good option. Very impressive characteristics!! S63 - too big, always thought of S-Class as a chauffeur driven car GL63 - 7 passenger car is too big for me at this point in life M5 - is much smaller than 7 series (760 or Alpina did an amazing job). |

I'm probably going to get the next gen X5M when it comes out. I've had an M5 and will likely test drive the new one coming out. Probably 90% chance of getting the X5M again.

If I was buying a new car in 6 months i'd go for the Alpina B7, or wait for the new Audi S8.

Hefty price tag on that B7. My brother just picked his up a few weeks ago. It's beautiful, rides great but a hell of a lot more expensive than the M. I think he said his sticker was near $150ish.

That is what Im looking at next, G55 for me though. Although the new model should hit next year. (edit - I meant G63, forgot the G65 is now the big one)

I second the Jeep TrackHawk suggestion. That is what I'll be moving to when my lease is up.
707bhp for around $90k, nicely equipped.

I've tried the RS6 , the Range Rover SVR and the 750i.
I wouldn't get one of those to replace my X5M. RS6 and SVR are harsh , hard ... uncomfortable. Although the sound is amazing. The 750i is an amazing limousine , but it isn't sporty enough (for me). I would like to test out the Bentayga , or the new Continental GT. The new M5 could also be a possibility. |

I'm going to in this situation next year too. Love the X5M having come from a M5.
Tried a RR Sport - liked it better than I expected but it leans a lot. Had a ML63 and hated it. Like the idea of the E63S wagon but my MB experience is giving me pause. Also not sure I really like the way it looks. New Cayenne Turbo will likely be great but the value is hard to get my head around. I'm considering trying to get one of the last X5M allocations. Another BMW option is to get the non M version of the new X5 until the new X5M is out. |

Regardless, even at $100k, that is gonna be one hell of an SUV.

Google Hellcat Supercharger failure. I almost bought a Hellcat as a second car until I reviewed the SRT forum. The SC snout bearing has been redesigned a few times and there are still failures on the 2017. I'd pass the first model year of the TH to get the bugs out.
