engine replacement
Apparently my engine needs to be replaced at just 16,500 miles. I am waiting to see how BMW NA handles my situation before providing further detail.

you should have confidence after the repairs since you'll have a new motor and axles.

i cannot predict the future but if you're uneasy about the entire thing... sell the car and get something else and roll the dice on different vehicle or different brand.

I bet things work out. If there were 7-10 threads on the same issue it would make me want to barf. Sorry for what you are going through but I am sure BMW will make too happy.

I've got some nice black Oem 21" 215 wheels for sale in great shape wearing run flats with about 5000 miles on them, some 20" kumho snow tires, and probably the blacked out x5m grills for sale. Everything in excellent shape. I'm taking offers.

I will certainly miss driving the x5m. Never driven anything like it. Way better transmission and exhaust then my cayenne turbo s, can't say the same for the suspension though overall a way more engaging ride. While the turbo s may be the girl you bring home to meet Mom and Dad and make your wife, the x5m is the the wild paramour to whom you do those things your wife won't let you. RIP x5m.
I've decided to go a slightly more practical route with its replacement, GLS63 AMG.

I suppose that's a matter of opinion, however I do/did own both simultaneously for whatever that's worth. It's good to have options, I recommend it.
