Which Aftermarket Wheel Maunfacturer ?

I'm looking for a set of 21" Forged wheels with pure factory offsets, etc. Strength is my biggest concern since the factory wheels are so beefy and you never read that they bend, etc. (This is a BIG problem with factory Corvette wheels). Second benefit would be some weight loss. Looks like a properly designed forged wheel would drop 40lbs of rotational weight.....that is a lot.

So, I'm between buying a set of 612's and add a custom powder coat and keep the weight penalty or a nice forged set.

Which brand would you buy ? Do you think they are as strong as a factory set ?

Quick web search shows a big difference in wheel weights and construction and price.

Factory 612M rear is listed at 39.5 LBS from BMW

BBS Flow Formed in a 21x11.5 is 39.6LBS and $830 retail

HRE Forged in a 21x11.5 is ~ 24lbs and $2,300 retail.

I went with Vossen!! After talking to someone who has been in the wheel industry for a long time and representative in the US of several European brands, he directed me towards Vossen. Also the team at Vossen who is is based locally in Miami was amazing through the process.

There quality is amazing..they are manufacturing now some wheels for manufactures like Novitec, Urban Automotive among others. That should say enough!

I highly recommend them!! If you go forged they will be made custom to your vehicle so you will be able to select the off set you like.

Look up the (BC Forged HT02 X6) not an X6M but a white x6 on google to get an idea of what it would look like. Custom offsets are possible since it's a custom order wheel. I would get it with gloss black barrel and satin black face. Great quality wheels for 4K a set instead of the crazy prices of other brands and completely forged and light weight. This has been a wheel that I've been considering since I got the car but want to run through my summer tires so i can leave my winter tires on the stock 20"s

Great choice. That is the same color I got with brushed finish. I think is my favorite color from the complete selection.

i have not purchased these wheels but a few members on the X5 and M2 forum purchased Signature Wheels. They have not had any complaints or issues with them.

Thanks for all the love, much appreciated

Yes indeed I have lots of photos I can show off! Multiple styles for different tastes, and of course 80+ optional finishes allows you to put together the exact style and color you're hoping for. Here are a few examples of what we can do:

BMW X5 M with HRE S204H Wheels (22x10", 22x12")
Center/Face - Frozen Bronze
Outer Lip - Brushed Bronze
Inner Barrel - Brushed Bronze

BMW X5 M with HRE S200 Wheels (22x10.5", 22x12")
Wheel finish - Satin Charcoal

BMW X5 M with HRE P201 Wheels (22x10.5", 22x12")
Center/Face - Brushed Clear
Outer Lip - Polished Clear
Inner Barrel - Satin Black

I've got more photos of course in our gallery if you'd like to check it out - http://www.hrewheels.com/gallery - Otherwise let me know what you're looking for and I'll see what wheel styles and colors match up!
