2015 BMW x5 transmission aluminum oil pan replacement
Bimmer fam need some insight. I have a 2015 x5 35i and wanted to do transmission oil change. So I was told that we can replace the transmission oil pan with an aluminum one. Wanted to know if anyone can confirm this? Here is the link to the oil pan. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...mw-24119503407

I installed the Uro pan 18 months and 24K miles back. I am please with it. It is finned and has an integrted serviceable filter. Comes with magnetic drain plug and uses a rubber gasket with a stand up rib and a groove in pan for locator rib of gasket. I am unsure if the BMW pan is deeper than the plastic pan, the URO looks to be standard depth and clears the air guide/cover panel below trans pan. Autozone had them online cheaper than other sellers when I bought mine. URO 011913 id the part number. I do not use URO parts as a rule but this aluminum pan had a clean die cast finish and did not weigh or feel thin or fragile. I can't attest to decreased fluid temp but the fluid temps are well managed on an X5 to begin with the ZF8 locking torque converter a high % of the time in upper 5 gears.

Thank you for sharing this info. So turns out the bmw pan does hold more oil. What I find weird is on the fcpeuro the kit offered on their website says it compatible with f15 35i. After getting in touch with support. They said it’s not compatible. Apparently Ppe offers the aluminum oil pain that will fit. Might end up going that route.
