Receiving text messages from Galaxy Note

Hi All,

Has anyone come across a software app that will allow text messages to be received in iDrive on a vehicle without Enhanced Blue Tooth being fitted.

Surely this is a software issue and in this day and age BMW are way behind the curve as many so called entry level cars have this as standard. BMW can text the car but a Galaxy Note (or other Andriod phone) can't Just seems frustratingly bonkers to me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Do a quick search.....many threads cover EBT.

The entire EBT functionality can be coded and there is no hardware to be fitted. After coding you will get all the functionality. The only hardware different is the the presences of a second microphone over the passenger seat for the EBT package.
