35D 2015 vs 2016

Can you folks offer some advice..
I am about give up my Infiniti FX35, which I love for the first BMW ever.
I am going for the diesel version, 3rd row with almost all optional packages but I thing LED and night vision.
Any advantage to wait for the 2016 model?

The car is essentially the same. Here in Canada there some package/option changes, but everything else is the same. I think the biggest advantage of waiting is that the car will be one year newer which means it will have a higher value at the end of your lease or finance. So you will either have a slightly lower lease payment or you will have a car that is worth slightly more when you want to get rid of it.

I thought briefly about getting a 15 but decided to wait since the car is essentially the same and there are no special programs on the 15s(at least not in Toronto).

The 16 diesels are a ways out, my dealer said about the earliest one could expect delivery of a 2016 diesel would be November ..... Personally I think there is maybe an emissions change in the 16's the gas are going into production soon and the diesels are delayed for 16 and they are still building 15 diesel version and not gas. The only difference is the diesel power plant ... I think the 16's may be Bio fuel 20% compatible but really have no more of an idea than anyone else.

The bio 20 compatibility- is that worth much? I don't know much about it.

Well, here in Illinois almost all gas station sell biodiesel rated from 5-20% and the X5 only supports 5% or less. So, a 20% compatibility is great in this area...

For one I don't know this for sure I'm just speculating. Yes it would be a big deal, more and more stations are selling bio blends and many cities and states are requiring a certain percentage of the fuel mixture must be from renewable resources so a lot of diesel now is a 5-20% bio fuel blend and the BMW is only rated to handle the 5% blend.
