Radar/Laser detector
I’m doing a long road trip in July. BC interior thru WA and Oregon then back to Vancouver. Been toying with the idea of a radar detector, but to be honest I never see them anymore like back in the day. Found a whistler that does both and has red light camera with GPS. I hate clutter. I need a discreet place out of sight If your rocking one. Where did you install it? And the cord. Hard instal if possible. Thanks

pretty much any car audio shops will be able to install it for u via hardwiring. try BPG autosound in richmond, or soundsgood auto in vancouver/coquitlum.
detectors are more or less not as useful as back in the days when speedtraps used radar technology, re: K/KA band radio waves. most of those detectors rely on picking up on scattering radio waves/light and giving u an advance warning. now a days most speedtraps uses lidar (laser) which means cops pretty much get ur speed instantly, so by the time ur detector warns u it is already too late and cops already have ur speed reading. people who still choose to use these things will also incorporate a jammer of some short to give u a few sec window to slow down. BTW jammers or any sort is illegal in BC.

My V1 has paid for itself.
Use a “blendamount” under the mirror.

YouTube has a great channel where a guy does nothing but review and test. He's got no life so ya.
The new Uniden is the leader right now with R1 being close behind. All are the same for laser but for hwy KA is the primary means by hwy patrol in US. Speed traps aren't "that" prolific but they do exist. That's where Waze comes into plau
