Got my wheels back from powdercoat today and I have to admit i'm a little on the fence about how they turned out. The color looks good in person however It seems like it would match the vinyl too much. I was hoping for a much darker finish like I saw in photos but its much much lighter in person. The finish is very hard to capture in photos and definitely changes depending on the sunlight and shade and what angle you view the wheels from, here are a few examples:

Another reason I think its going to look weird is the grey vinyl has a cooler grey tone and the wheels are definitely a warm grey tone. I have no idea how this is going to look.

From afar in the sun it'll be fine. Hopefully the black tires will give it a deeper tone up close and won't look too opposed again the vinyl and PC.

But wheels look dope

They look good, kkakonn. The thing about two tone powdercoat is you have no idea how it looks until it's on the vehicle.

Garage List
Throw some tires on them, and a few miles of brake dust, and they'll look black ;p. Pretty sweet either way....

Thank you all for the encouragement, I think thats what makes this forum better than so many other ones I've been apart of. Wheels should be mounted by the end of this week!

Thanks! Forgestar typically doesn't release their offset info, but I will email them and try and get it. The sizes are 22x10 semi deep and 22x12 deep concave.

Take a nice big side picture of your car and a picture of your wheel in a perfect center/circle without any angles to mess up the quality of it being flat, and I will photoshop the wheels onto your car for you.

Best I could do with the pictures you provided:

.

You won't see the best color until you see it in person because 1) the lighting 2) photoshop can only adjust color to a certain degree without messing up the original.

What do the door jams look like on wraps like this? Can you take pics of the doors open? Does it just show two different colors?

It's looking really amazing.

The door jambs would be the originally color, on mine it was Carbon black. You can have the shop wrap the door jambs as well but its much more expensive and time consuming since they need to take the entire door apart. Since my original color was black you couldn't really tell, as opposed to if your color was White or something bright. I'll grab a picture for you tomorrow!

Here are the photos from the install today my shop sent me:

My consensus with changing to 22's is that its been quite good and I should've done it sooner. I was very worried about the ride quality. Going to a 22" wheel and a 25 series profile tire really had me worried. However, after driving home I realized this wasn't the case at all. It felt exactly like stock, maybe a little softer and not as harsh. Road noise was very similar to stock as well. I'm glad I got the wheels on first because now I have a good comparison for next week when I get the springs put on.
