I had the 9500ix, Passport Max, and I'm currently using the Passport Max 2. I do agree the old units (9500ix) seem to have better build quality when you touch it. The new units' plastic seem more flimsy and cheap. However, it doesn't affect daily usage though. I also don't find any difference between the ability to protect you from getting a ticket. The new units have more gizmos but 9500ix is just as good serving its main purpose.

I actually still have my 9500ix. I keep it in my traveling bag and use it when I travel. The original suction cup that comes with the 9500ix is horrible. If you don't use Blendmount you'll want to get a better suction cup from Escort (or perhaps 3rd party.)

The envelope is interesting. I know it's not returnable once it's been opened.

I sent an email to Jason at tischer and he said that he only opened the envelope himself to take photos of the contents for his website...

Dropped off the X5 for the MPPK install . Edit: interesting that they are willing to do my first oil change service as well at 5,000 miles.

Looks like Park Ave BMW ? thumbs up lol

How do you think it will hold in the winter/snow ?
MPPK w/o RC good ? how much ?

Btw, should have gotten the Max2.
I had 9500ix and sold it and bought a brand new 2015 Redline Unit (Unbeatable) but I do miss the Auto-Learn Feature

Yep Park Avenue. I may change to this dealership since they were willing to work with me on the install when my regular dealer wouldn't.

I think the front lip will be fine during winter and snow. If you think about it most cars have much lower ground clearance so it's a non issue.

Since I was able to experience the 35i in stock form, then with RC to C setting...
I'm interested to see how MPPK tune does to this X5. If I am more than satisfied with the MPPK then I may end up selling the RC at a discounted price. . We will see.

My RC on C setting has been playing nice with my MPPK even in these hot weather conditions. My X5 moves pretty darn good honestly.

I can't wait to hear kzangs review his impression because he's experienced stock, RC and now MPPK all separately.

Ha ha LOL... Well the first attempt of the software tune crashed
They gave me a 2015 X3 28i loaner and they will contact BMW for another code since the FSC codes are only one time use. No charge to me for the additional code which is good news Lets see how this ends up

Exact same thing happened to me. Was a pain in the ass and the 528i they gave me sucked.

It will get figured out.

Got a call from the SA saying that they sent a message to BMW engineers asking if they should just redo the install of the software again with the same code or if BMW will provide a new one. I guess I won't get the car back until sometime tomorrow
