All New X Vehicle?

Hey Guys,

BMW recently posted this video of a New X Vehicle being tested in Sweden! Any ideas on what it could be? I assume it's the X7 which should be revealed next year, but why post a teaser now?
Thoughts?

Has to be the new G01 X3, which is due for release later this year, production starts Aug 2017 IIRC.

It's the new X3. Us dealers got our first allocation for the 2018 X3 30i. Many new options available. They're set to go into production around October.

I could be wrong... but the Exhaust sounds V8...I highly doubt the X3 will have a V8 variant engine.. therefore I think it is either new X5 or X7.

I'm guessing the new X5 then - due for MY19 I believe (so Aug/Sept '18)

x3, likely the B59 I6 3litre340 hp rather than the B48 2 litre 4 cylinder.
As x3 G01, comes before new x5, logical that it is the x3.

http://www.bmwblog.com/2017/03/03/of...inter-testing/

note: the plates match, hence x3

It's the new X3M. For others saying its an X5, there is no way BMW will tease a new X5 since the X3 is due for a change in 2018.
Comparing the spy shots we have for X7 and the video, the one in the video looks alot smaller.

Edit: looking at the article above it probably is the x3 m40i. It sounds amazing and really makes you wonder how the M will be like.

Nowadays many turbo charged performance cars have fake exhaust note through the speakers. Thus it's easily to artificially make a 6 cylinder sound like a V8.

The car in the video is the X3M.

whatever it is, it looks too much like the same as what they already have.

BMW needs to step up the game a bit. Lots of incredible cars coming out.

LOVE my X5. Love. But still...the next bit of evolution needs to see some serious sh!t in order to compete today.

Different boat, same car.

I could not be happier. I'm genuinely smitten with my X5 50i M Sport.

But I just drove the Macan and Cayanne GTS. And holy cow...

I'm currently a huge bimmer fan. But the competition is coming on very strong. BMW needs to step up their game to keep competing.

I test drove a Macan and a Cayenne, but still bought a X5.

Granted both Porsche's drove better than the X5, but as an overall package, I thought the X5 was still the better option......(for me)

Close decision though.....

Nice.

If I hadn't taken the plunge with the '32 Ford project, and had been staying with a one-car-suits-all 135i replacement, I think I would have gone with the Macan Turbo. Despite my dislike of the button festooned interior, and the issue of the sports seat base bolster digging into you on entry and exit, and the poor Nav/infotainemt tech compared with I-Drive, it drove really, really well and drove like a hot hatch....just one that weighed 2 tonnes!!

That's exactly what I do not like about the Porsche - much to 'in your face'.
The sales guy was trying to sell me into a new Cayenne and I said I like the less is more approach of BMW and Audi and unless Porsche tone down their chrome and switch-gear, forget it!!!

While I loved all the buttons, my wife also hated them.

She is still talking about it. Lmao.

I suppose it's good to have diversity.

Its likely they will do for the next Macan and next Cayenne, as they have done so with the Panamera, so its likely the new Macan and Cayenne will look more this the new Panamara inside.

I still prefer the I-Drive to touch screen though....as well as the BMW comfort seats.

Apparently, the X5 is a hot item for car theft in your country...
