Indicators

One thing I am not liking are the indicator stalks.
When indicating left or right they do not automatically switch off without me having to do it manually after carrying out the turning manoeuvre
What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like you are pushing the stalk down fully, for lane changes, just a slight depress is all that is needed. The indicator will flash 3 or 5 times depending on settings.

For full turns, fully depress and the indicator will stay on until until you execute the turn. Off the top of my head, I think you have to turn the wheel 30 to 40 degrees in the direction you are turning before the indicator will turn off.

Thanks for the reply.
I will be a little more gentle when I try it out tomorrow.

Garage List
Easy solution: Don't use turn signals like a proper BMW driver doesn't

You're doing it wrong. No BMW drivers use turn signals

On older cars, it's either 1 or 3 blinks. Setting is in the idrive regardless. So OP can switch it up.

I use turn signals all the time; I must do less of it, I'm getting tired of it

I usually retrofit my turn stalk with a fixed chopstick. Much lighter.
