I ended up buying this too. Can confirm there's more noise, but not a ton more since its still enclosed. I did the charge pipe at the same time so the butt dyno feels something but can't confirm for certain.

Did you have any issues w/ fitment on the VRSF catless downpipe? I know there was an issue awhile back, but they might have corrected the issue.

No fitment issues here. It dies touch one of the OEM brackets for the stock downpipe but nothing major.

Video for a visual.

Really appreciate the video. Looks like it's barely touching. I'm sure w/ the cateless dp and straight pipe exhaust you're not able to hear if the dp against that mount is making a vibration sound. Your X5 looks great!

Hi was your question answered? I'm in the same boat. Got mppk and RaceChip so wonder if this will still throw cel. Anyone can help with the answer?

Sorry to revive this thread again, but also wondering if a chip (RC or BM3) would solve the cel issue with this intake?

I have this intake and have never thrown a code. However, in the winter, the car struggles to find an idle with cold starts in the morning. I have to feather the gas so it won't die.

People mention the map sensor but I also noticed the gasket when installing in the AFE pipe will fold over and not seat right so you need to be careful and push that gasket it in.

I've had this intake installed for over a year now with no issues. Didn't get a CEL about lean mixture really until I started tuning but we were able to sort that out.

I may go this route now. Only reviving this because i have an unsealed intake (pictured below) which works fine but my engine bay gets filthy ever since i installed it.. I assume its because its pulling in more air (and debris) into the engine bay. Other than that, sounds great with a tune.
