Exclamation Air Suspension

The end of last year I had my air bags replaced in my rear air suspension (3rd row). However, last weekend I had a new battery put in and registered now my fuse 110 which is 40A and is the air suspension fuse keeps blowing. And the rear end will not lift. Any suggestions where to start?

I'm going to say that replacing the battery should have nothing to do with it and is a coincidence. Does the fuse blow as soon as you replace it? If so perhaps there is a short either in the compressor itself or the wiring to the compressor. When fuses immediately blow that is typically where I would start.

Sounds like a short somewhere but I'm sure others will chime in as well.

What are you wanting to do? You can use ISTA to initiate a deflate or inflate of the bags for servicing them I know. I suppose if you want to take 'manually' to the extreme, you can put a knife into the bags and that'll deflate them quickly . I'm not aware of any way to change the settings for level but E-sys may contain such settings - never seen this discussed.

I have the same issue with the fuse. Installed a brand new compressor and relay, but fuse kept blowing. Now car is at the dealership getting looked at. They told me compressor failed.

Yes, sounds like a short in the compressor I'd guess. Too bad, I understand they're not cheap. They are fixable for some failures (including replacing the desiccant in the motor)…search on Google - a guy made a video. Might be worth checking out.
