Question about navigation for X5 owners in Greater Toronto area
Do you have an issue with navigation and highway 407?
I checked and none of the avoid options are set. Anyone seen this? How did you fix it? Attached is the picture how 407 looks for us - always red and any time we need to use navigation the car will avoid it. That's the map's version installed - |

No luck, tried to change to FAST mode and still the car avoids 407 when this is, in fact, the fastest way to work - Google Maps and Waze always pick it first.
I guess it's time to pay my dealer a visit. |

Maybe I'm missing something, but if you know its the fastest way to work...why are you using Navigation to get you there?

Ah, ok...makes sense. I find that happens a lot for me in Vancouver, where it says to go one way, but I KNOW a different way that's faster. Frustrating, but at the end of the day...it is a computer (usually no substitute for a human).

Talked to the dealership over the phone and scheduled a visit for October 15 - they said they need to run diagnostics and maybe to install new maps and new version of software. We'll see how it goes.
Wife also complains about Bluetooth - her iPhone 6 disconnects all the time. Could be related to the same root cause. |

^^ I've had my iPhone 5s disconnecting lately as well, happens maybe once a week. Haven't determined if its the car or the phone yet. I'm thinking its the latter, since a hard restart on the phone fixes the issue.
