Rear Controls

Hello,
I am in the market for a used X5 and I am a bit new to the model. I came across an X5 with the following rear controls. All the previous X5 controls I have seen provide actual knobs for the rear seat passengers. Did the X5 have optional rear controls in 2014. If so, can it be retro'd.

Thank in advance.

Only had rear controls if you have the optional 4 zone climate control.

If not, which I suspect the model you are looking at is lacking, you will just have the heated seat buttons.

While I am sure it COULD be retrofitted, I am certain their would be a large amount of duct work / actuators that are missing that would need to be installed. I'd look for one with 4 Zone.

S4NB Autom. climate control with 4-zone ctrl is the option you are looking for.

Thank you.
Odd this is a Xdrive50i with the MSport package and ceramic controls. Weird that they skimped in this area. No one rides in my rear seat but aesthetically it is unpleasant to look at.

Looking at the 2014 order guide, it was a $500 option across s / xDrive and 35i/50i.

In 2015, it was added to ZPP ( Premium Package ), bundling it with comfort access and Dakota leather.
