I wonder if those rear lights are designed to be on all the time, I mean how long before they start fading out like any LED...
I know that Gxx have those on from factory. |

LED bulbs can last up to 10 -15 years, ballast is one that can go bad. But should still be min 5 years. I'm basing on light fixtures that get turned on 24/7. I'd assume bmw uses top quality materials. Im not worried too much about it

You haven’t mentioned what model year (build date) your X5 is. In the pic you posted…it shows you looking in the BDC (body domain controller) module.
Since the rear DRL parameters were moved to the REM module in later model years…and rear DRL info isn’t listed in the BDC module for your X5…you may want to look for rear DRL coding in the REM (rear electronics module). Things change during the production run and the REM is one of the changes that occurred. Does Carly list an REM control module for your X5?

Sorry, My X5 is 8/2017 produced.. I really don't know, I hope that It can read REM.. Thank you! For some reason, on I-drive screen He won't play M Performance Logo On starting I-drive.. It was working fine, but then I have It change to normal (due to Service at stealer) and later I have It Coded to M start logo, and It doesn't work.. 🤦*♂️😡 + It throws 40+ faults.. Good old Carly.. |
