X5 M50d full brake set
Hi Everyone,
Finally I received my new M50d a couple of weeks ago (was sort of long long wait, nearly 6 months). Before delivery I decided to have the M Performance brakes installed thus I have a set of brakes unused sitting at the dealer's service centre. This may not be the best to post for a sale, but if anyone interested in getting it, I'd be more than happy to sell mine. Apart from the brake, can anyone answer if the additional Dynamic Adaptive suspension (2VP) is coming with a lot higher drive position? I feel the car is a lot lot higher than other F15 without this option. |

I do not know which models will fit your set....30 or 40d....
Not a lot of people want to change it as car is still under warranty and majority of people have service included(including brakes replacement). But still think that best option is that you will post it on ebay P.S. Where are pictures of the car ? |

Hi,
What exactly are the M performance breaks? I am pretty sure that the M50d comes standard with some sort of modified m brakes: twin-piston floating-caliper 385 x 36 front and single-piston floating-caliper 345 x 24 at the back. what are the specs of the once you got and how much did they cost you? Thanks P.S. I am pretty sure that the standard M50D brakes can fit only on wheels 19" +, guess it might be good info for the potential buyer |

X5M gets floating discs (also known as compound discs), M Sport are standard type discs but the same size

You would have been better off painting the M50d calipers and placing ceramic pads into the calipers. The M50d brakes work well and with the proper ceramic pad material (not EBC) you get no brake dust.

Don't think so, there is no gap between caliper & rim with 20's?

100% the same brakes as the E70 X5M. I had a 2013 X5M before the 2015 X5 50i with M Performance Brakes, it's almost like I just moved them over. Upon installation on the F15, the difference from the stock setup wasn't as immediate as I thought it would be. After bedding and break-in though, it is notably better...I'm very pleased with the upgrade.
Check with your BMW Center, I believe 19" will clear and are the minimum required diameter. I too am trying to sell my OEM setup for not much money at all on Craigslist...heck of a deal for rotors, calipers, pads, sensors, shields and hardware. Was hoping someone with an E70 would jump on them. No takers unfortunately.

Here they are with my winters on the 20" 469M and my summers on 21" Forgestar CF10s. Looks like 19" should be OK.
