Front Fender/Bumper Reflector Question

I'm getting ready to have my front bumper and hood repainted (Carbon Black) due to a board flying off the back of a truck and striking the bumper, hood and windshield. UGH.... I was going to order the reflector inserts in Carbon Black but wanted to know if anyone out there just painted the existing reflectors and how they turned out? Would you recommend? Pictures? Thanks in advance!!

If you are going to have your bumper repainted, why not just have the reflectors painted at the same time. That way you know they will match perfectly. I would have the body shop remove the reflectors and paint them individually so that they are not painted to the bumper, which will eventually flake.

I was definately going to ask them paint them at the same time. You make a good point about making sure they remove them to be painted as to no have a future issue of flaking. Thanks for the advice.

Remember they'll have to remove the existing double-sided tape adhesive so will need to replace with new strips to reinstall. That won't exactly match the shape of the reflectors, but should be fine. If you're OCD, then jut get a new set of ambers that come with the tape pre-installed around the entire reflector. Give that to them to paint.

+1 for having them painted at the same time. Ensures a 100% match.

The 3m double sided tape can some what be shaped to curve around the reflectors so that can also be done instead of repainting new reflectors.
