Thanks for posting this. How much does BMW charge for this experience? And was it all inclusive (food/gas/etc) or did you have to pay for something on top?

thats for the 11 day trip, there is an 8 day one, which follows the itinerary above. The 11 day one goes a slightly different route

They have all the pricing on BMW driving experience website but it is in euros so you will have to adjust for exchange rate. Everything is included except the airfare. Cars, gas, meals, hotels all in -- you dont have to spend anything during the trip if you dont want to -- basically if you want souvenirs, or extra alcoholic drinks or tips etc those may be extra.

Absolutely beautiful photos! Brings back memories of my 8 day Fahrer training trip 9 years ago.

I think it's a great program. I also met some really nice people and instructors there. Great food. Great driving. I think the safari's were the highlight of the trip. Thanks for sharing!

Do I see that the X5s have customer front bumpers? Why is this? And did anyone ever need any assistance from the support vehicle? Car breakdowns? Flat tires?

There is a skidplate under the car and this protects against impact from rocks, vegetation etc. There is also additional tow hook added up front to help assist with pulling etc, if needed (eg sand dunes). I think flat tires are always possible, remember, lots of gravel roads with rough rocks etc. One car had a flat tire in our group due to a puncture from a rock -- technically the BMW guys will do the tire change but everyone in our group pitched in and wanted to help out so it only was a quick stop.
