Are you currently having that issue?
You don't need to do it if your alignment is within the spec. I didn't do it on mine that was on H&R spring which lower around 1.5"-1.75" and the tires lasted about 15k miles. Without alignment too.

Aligment and pressure is right in the range. The camber is right on the max negative range. The car is not lower yet but will be soon. The mechanics said once lower , it will be out of range for the camber. He ask me to get the camber kit when I going to install the AC Schnitzer spring to reduce inner side tire wear. No extra labor charge when do together.
