New To Me, 2015 X5 xDrive50i

I'll be picking up a 2015 X5 xDrive50i (Space Grey Metallic) tomorrow!

I'm pretty excited as I was in the market for a 35i, but the price and the spec of a used 2015 50i caught my attention. After taking her for a test drive, I threw a deposit down to hold the car from other prying eyes and ran the paperwork through my CFO (my Wife) and got the green light.

I'm trading in my trusty 2009 Nissan Armada LE, so I'm used to the V8 drinking gas, but I'll have to get used to the additional horses (which is always good!). I'll list the details and post initial pics after I bring her home.

The only gripe I have are the rims/tires (19" setup,) but the good thing is it allows me to "upgrade" to some 21's in the future!

Either way I'm happy!

Congrats. Let's see some photos, even if they're from the dealership. Don't worry about the 19" wheels, that's the least of your worries. Plenty of nice 20" and 21" wheel sets for sale on the forum. I'd go ahead and buy some so you can swap them out right away!

I'm like a little kid the night before Christmas!

I didn't take any pics when I test drove it as I didn't want to set myself up for failure if my CFO didn't agree with me getting a "new"vehicle. Rest assured I will post some as soon as possible! BTW, the previous owner "upgraded" the kidney grills to the black version. This was on my list but now has been checked off!

As for the price, I'm not one to discuss details on dollars, but I will say I'm paying $1K less than KBB for my area (IL). Plus I received tip-top dollar for my trade (about $2K more than KBB w/o haggling on value).

Man...that would be iconic! But, unfortunately no!

I'll be dropping in to pick her up around 1630. Had the front windows tinted to match and they're curing right now, so the pics will be uploaded tonight or tomorrow.

Congrats and thank you for your service; we're brothers in arms. I worked AC-130 Gunships in my day.

Big change in size from the Armada. My brother has one, but if you did not need the extra size, you'll love the X5. We traded an Acadia Denali for our X5 and there was some getting used to the smaller cargo area, but everything else is an upgrade though.

Yeah, it's a big change, but I never really used all of the cargo room to begin with, I just like the look of that Armada when I bought it! But, now she's gone and I'm really enjoying the X5!
