Ha. Must be the default. The first few times, I missed that it said it was a 5 series and just saw "limousine" and "1987..." So, naturally, I pictured a 1987 stretched lincoln lol.

marsblackmon, I hear you. A light tap, or moving the stalk to the point of resistance will create a visual flashing for three flashes. If you wish to keep the flashing mode longer until your turn is complete, then you need to move the stalk past the point of resistance, upon which you will feel it click in place, providing reassurance that it will be continuous. I tried it today as this is what I experienced, which is the same as my F25.

My car has been at dealership since Friday, but my sales guy kept telling me that it was still on its way! I'm going to pick it up today! I have no clue why they kept it for so long without me picking it up! I'm wondering whether they wanted to showcase the vehicle as long as they could. Especially since there aren't many 50i's out there. Probably going to snap on someone over there today! Lol

Congrats! He probably had no clue.. Can be a lot of disconnect at these dealerships. "Let me check, oh look at that, the computer says it's right downstairs...."

Could be, if the dealership is large, or if your sales advisor had been out sick. Once I ordered a CLS63, and when I went to pick it up it had a receipt from Lowe's on the passenger seat floor. Turns out they had lent it overnight to a "very good customer" so he could try it out.

They admitted that? Bad enough the service guys take their liberties with our cars more than we may know, but to lend your brand new, customer ordered car to some other customer overnight and without your permission is flat out BS. I would've cancelled on principle. And I would do so for a C class let alone a CLS AMG!! 100k+ should buy you better service than that.

Exactly why I want to check the mileage. I'm debating at what mileage I should just completely reject the car! Everyone knows that when people test these cars out, they are hard on them. I know I was hard as hell when I test drove the 13'.

Any thoughts on what mileage you guys would reject car?

It shouldn't have more than single digits coming from the factory, I guess maybe sometimes 15 tops. If that thing is in the 20's or more, someone went for a cruise or there was a problem with it somewhere along the way that led to extra testing being needed. But before canceling and starting your wait all over again, I would get the facts and decide if it's really worth going through it all twice. I don't care if it was POTUS, if some dealer let some other customer "borrow" do anything more than look at my brand new, custom ordered car, at any price point, I'd be pissed. Test drive would piss me off, let alone an overnight test drive. If you buy off the lot, you assume it was driven. Custom order should be pristine on principle alone.

Single digits is good. 15 tops. The X5 I ordered had 25, but since it had the oil light reflash done, I'm going to be generous and assume it was tested at the VPC to make sure that light didn't come back on.

Did you reject the car with the Lowes ticket on it? LOL
Loved it!!! They better have convinced the guy that tried your car overnight that it was worth buying.

remains to be seen if/how Thanksgiving will interfere with transport, but it's looking like it should be here next week, barring a lost week due to the holiday.. Either way, should line us up for the December program, though I don't have high hopes it will change at all from November.
In the paint shop! (per the 800#, chances are it's really in final assembly now). Shows up on bmwarchive.org now with options.. and a production date of TODAY. Talk about real-time..
