I'm currently at 92k on my '15 50i, no issues at all. Just came from a long road trip and completed routine maintenance.
Probably gonna drive this until it breaks cause resale value is terrible at this point. That X7 is looking mighty nice though. |

Yikes... I should keep an eye out for that since I'm nearing the 70k territory soon.

At 98k had to replace the spark plugs cause I was getting a stutter when accelerating hard ($600) and there was an oil leak with the hoses so they had to be replaced ($1200)

I’m putting my bets on BMW having sorted the other technical issues on this rev of the N63TU. 😁 |

It’s a PITA but at least all this does is make a mess of your driveway, not hand-grenade your engine. I mean how else are you supposed to know that you still got oil in it? They even took the dipstick away

I recently purchased a 2016 X5 Xdrive50 with the M-sport, with 63,000 miles. I was offered a three year warranty (for $3000) from a pretty no name coverage provider, so I declined. The only thing worse than paying for a warranty is struggling like hell to get them to pay up if you need to use it.
I'm glad to see several fellow members with high-ish mileage 50i running well. Fingers crossed! Anyone else with some high milers out there, and tips and tricks? |

14 with 96k miles on it here. Only real issue I had was front differential saying goodbye at 70k and a rear drive axle (my fault, played in the snow too aggressive). Apart from that just normal maintenance, oil change every 5k, filters spark plugs and coil packs, control arms etc. FCP Euro made this car so much cheaper for me than it would've been without honestly.
One thing I do wanna mention for my fellow high miler, check the tension for the oil pump chain. Apparently over time that chain stretches and gets loose. If that chain breaks loose completely you can imagine what's gonna happen. When I checked mine I was shocked because it really was super loose. Thank god it's a relatively simple job, a little time consuming and messy but very simple and cheap. I'm torn as to what to do with mine, sell it or keep it It is loaded to the max including high end options like B&O, DHP, Night Vision, Adaptive cruise control with stop and go and rear seat entertainment. Pretty much everything that was available apart from 3rd Row seating. |

According to this thread it's something that should be checked for higher mileage ones >80k
Something Every 50i owner over 80K miles should check https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1847537 |
