Bluetooth connections not showing correct music title?

So, I usually connect my iPod/iPhone directly via USB connection but this time my girlfriend connected her iPhone via Bluetooth and played some music via Pandora. The title showed up on the X5 screen but the titles/info was wrong? I seem to recall reading that this was a known issue and there was a fix? Did I remember that one, right?

Any tips on how I can resolve this?

My observation is that titles are 100% correctly displayed only when you stream tracks from 'Music' app.

Streaming from other apps is a gamble - for example McTube and BuzzPlayer display correctly (BT and USB), AVPlayer - no track info, and so on.

I assume it is dependent on implementation of a specific app

Spotify only display the first title of an album and stays that way through the whole album.
Anyone have a fix for this?

Mine does the same thing if I use bluetooth streaming. However, if I connect my phone via USB and use the BMW Spotify App, the info updates correctly.

What is the BMW spotify app?
I can't find it in the app store....

With Spotify and Enhanced Bluetooth I was having problems with the music titles not updating or being incorrect - turns out that my Media and Phone software on the X5 was out of date and there was a very good thread on this forum a few weeks ago about this. So it might be worth following this link and seeing if the software needs updating - it is a quick and easy process with a USB stick.

This is the fix. Check your media software version. It should be:

Media: MN-002.255.060

Tel: TN-002.255.062

If it is not, download the update and install. Just takes a few moments.

Just tried installing the update...it doesn't show as

Oh well...I think you guys may be right about the title/info not showing up correctly from streaming sources but from "music" it works fine.
