2018 35i xdrive. 75k miles. I replaced both rear diff and transmission oil yesterday and found some oil residue at the end of tranny. Is it the rear main seal leak? I guess it will be covered in cpo warranty right?

What color is it??
Is it coming from the oil pan at that back corner? If you pop off that rubber grommet, look in the bell housing see if you see any oil, if not rear main is fine. If it's transmission fluid, it's your torque converter seal. If it's oil, and bell housing is dry, oil pan is starting to sweat/leak |

Yes that grommet just pops off, with a flash light take a look inside and see if the bell housing looks wet. |

99% back of the oil pan. It’s one of the first places to leak in bmw inline 6s. Very common. As in, they all do it eventually.
Rear mains are very hardy. I wouldn’t fret or replace it if it’s the pan and not dripping on my garage floor. It won’t hurt anything. |

Apologize for the dumb question but I see two rubber grommets, is the one you're referring to on top side of picture?
