if you did a search, you'd see that many prefer this version of the mudflap:

Yes, I installed them (front and rear) on my X5. I have 20' rims on a Msport and wanted maximum protection from stone chips etc. (hate paint chips). BMW tell you their mud flaps don't fit on Msport, however they do. See pictures below.

Yes... I have a thread buried called: painted mudflaps. I removed the rear ones as they were hideous. They had to be painted twice as the flaps are textured and sanding was not easy.

Mud Flap X5 with M Sport Will this part # work
Hi,
BMW Part # 82162302402 / 82-16-2-302-402 I have these for the front but they don't seem to line up and wrap the lip of the trim. Is this just me? It looks like others say they will work. This is a 2014 X5 F15 July build. Thanks |

I'm starting to get interested in adding flaps to my F15. Do these fit a '16 Luxury line X5?
Also, this may be a noob question, but are you getting the flaps painted by your dealer? How are you going about color matching the panels? |

I had a local bodyshop paint the flaps. I had all four painted, lived with the rears for about 6 weeks. Finally, I could not take the hideous look and removed the rears. Front ones, painted, are still there. If you search painted mud flaps you should find the thread in which I discuss part numbers, paint, etc. |

Does anyone actually take their 4WD car off road?
Within the first 25 miles of owning mine, I was taking 400 lbs of horse feed out to our two barns, through the pastures. No mud flaps touching mine though...

Real off-roading? No chance. Just the other day my friend was laughing at me because my X5 was scraping the snow on the ground where as this Jeep was just gliding through.
Now if you mean have I gone onto unpaved roads, then yeah of course. That's why I have these little chips all over the place. |

Hi! I ordered them from the dealer's parts department. I told them "don't make me buy it online cheaper", and they responded that they will beat any price. I can't remember how much they cost anymore, but they were reasonable.
