I'm with you kzang, I like the look of it, it completes the whole body kit all around the car.
Are you going to order the original or the ones from china?

Beautiful pix of a Space Grey example that will be on my order form!! Couple of questions if you don't mind, what color is your interior (do you have any pix). Where did you get the front difuser, and what purpose do the "wings" serve? Thanks

I'm happy with my wings and now went with mirror caps as well.

I don't think I will get the aftermarket version.. Waiting for a good deal to popup to pull the trigger.

Here is a night time interior shot I did a while back. I haven't taken any day time interior shots since it is pretty common. I'll take the time one day to do some interior photoshoots. I purchased the front diffuser from getbmwparts.com they are a BMW dealership in Maryland and usually have the best prices especially during holidays when they have summer/winter promotions. Also taking advantage of the no sales tax is a big bonus. I am not 100% certain but the rear wings probably don't serve any purpose but it is part of the M aero kit and it is mostly for aesthetics.

I however am still not sure about those parts...I wanted ZERO carbon fiber on mine because I know once you start, it's a very slippery slope...gotta add them to the interior, etc... LOL!

Yes, the first set of photos were taken at a small park near Englewood Cliffs, NJ. with the George Washington Bridge in the background.

bumping this old thread.
Kzang, how is the front lip holding up with the VHB after this long? Is it coming off at all or still holding solid?

Honestly, the VHB 3M tape isn't strong enough to hold the lip. I had to retape it numerous times because at highway speeds 65 mph+ I find that the lip is very loose due to the downforce of the wind. I ended up using betalink adhesives.

I’m a bit worried as I have ppf on the whole bumper and would install on top of it as removing the ppf will be a pain in the ass. I’m hoping if it’s just the portions that attach to the bracket I can still get away with the tape on the sides.

The lip still looks quite good for 3 years. I will prob either wrap mine gloss black or have ppf installed on mine.

These carbon fiber are very thin and are fragile.
If I had to do it again, I'd definitely apply some sort of protection against rocks and road debris.

I found a newer 3M VHB tape that might actually be better for our use. It's the RP version of the tape. Seems to be better suited to sticking to "low surface energy" surfaces like the CF and plastic brackets. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...UGUD63LA&psc=1 I'm going to use this newer version for my lip install.

I honestly don't know. Maybe mad luck.
Been driving with no front plates here for the past 20+ years without ever being pulled over or ticketed. Now watch my luck run out
