Wheel weight corrosion
I have a 16 x5 sport with the sport package that gives it the 20in. aluminum rims. Since I live in NJ and they use salt in the winters, the rims have corroded under the wheel weights.
Is it just bad weights ? What everyone do to clean them ? Did i get the cheap ones ? Are there better quality weights ? Has anyone else experienced this ? Thank you |

Agreed...we need pics. I've never really seen wheel weights themselves corrode on these. That said, I just went through having my 469M's re-finished under warranty due to corrosion (around the center caps).

This is where adhesive for the weight for balancing used to be.

No, that looks like the actual wheel weights being corroded.

Doesn't look like the wheel is affected at all, so this is a simple fix. Just replace the weights by yourself or have the tire shop donor for you.
