Just closed a deal

Here is my build. I think I got a pretty good deal on it. Never mind the $2,619.23 discount. I actually got 4% off of the MSRP which makes it $79,824 plus tax. What do you think?? Any input would be appreciated.

Most of us in the US are getting somewhere between 7%-12% off MSRP. You might want to check the sticky thread titled "Best priced ... received..."

Very nice build though.

Yes as the above poster said, you should be able to get better discount. I got close to 11% off when I bought my car.

I got just over 10% off last month. Go to a different dealership or demand a better deal

It is a little different here in Canada guys...
4-5% is considered a good deal assuming that's just from the dealership's end.

If BMW Canada has a promo of their own, that's a different story. I believe BMW Canada is not offering any incentives at this time so its all up to the dealership themselves to give whatever they can.

I believe the dealer has an 8-9% mark up on these vehicles. So giving 4% is alright, its giving up half their mark up. I think 5-6% WOULD BE the best you will do realistically.

Nice build!! I just order mine a couple weeks ago and its already completed production and should be shipped by next week hopefully.

This. When we purchased our X5, we managed to get 6% off.

It sucks but this is Canada, we pay more for our cars unfortunately. As well as the 13% HST in Ontario!!!

Very nice build indeed!

Question - what does Premium Seating Package for $2900 adds to the build when you already have Comfort front seats as part of M-sport package in Canada?

If i'm not wrong, m sport gives you the sports seats while the seating package gives you multi contour seats+nappa leather?

M Sport gives you Comfort Seats. I confirmed this because I didn't think so either. But it does for sure!

Premium Seating gives you ventilated seats as well as the Nappa leather option, unfortunately we can order mocha or ivory (and the ivory comes with ivory carpets, unlike Ivory Dakota leather where the carpets are still black)

I'm concerned about the valuation of the trade in. Have you checked how much you'll get in a private party sale since what the dealer is offering requires you pay...

heres my deal, donno if its good or not

X5 xdrive 35i
M Sport
Premium Package Essentials
Convenience Telephony w/ Smartphone Connectivity (donno what this is but seems to be included with most CAN spec X5)

dealer wouldn't print out that option list for me for some odd reason, would only show me on computer screen

car is $75,500 + tax and all fees, minus $4000 discount and also given me 3.15% loyalty rate vs 3.9% regular rate

Awesome build, but like others have said I would shoot for at least 8-12% off MSRP if I were you; if the dealership won't budge take your business elsewhere. To put things into perspective, we were able to get 16% off MSRP. A minimum of 8% off MSRP doesn't sound too unreasonable to me.

THIS ^^^

Everyone commenting about 8-16% off is from the US where things are VERY different. I had one local dealer tell me that the most discount they could do on an X5 was 2 or 3% (cant remember coz I walked out of their so fast but my head spun).

I got about almost 8% off but there was a massive promo at the time, otherwise I would get about 6% off and that is considered a HUGE discount here.

I just picked it up yesterday from Bavaria. I know in most cases, Edmonton BMW is more flexible when it comes to discounts. Bavaria was the perfect X5 I wanted to buy for my wife, plus I bought my previous BMW from them so they threw a couple of more thousand dollars for my trade in which was more than $30,000. If I remember correctly, Heritage Benz offered me $27,000, Land Rover $30,000, Glenmore Audi $25,000. Considering I got almost a $5,000 discount plus more for the trade in, I want to convince myself that I got a good deal. LOL

Hi, folks. I just picked it up yesterday. I will post some pictures in the next couple of days. One thing I would like to ask you is that this particular X5 had black 20' rims, black kidney grills and black window trims. Is that an option?

You got exactly that would wanted so that's worth something. They seem to feed off that tho. The sales manager actually showed me how much they were making off the deal $2400. I sold my 911 turbo privately days before so didn't have to work on that number.

I got them to swap for the black wheels also as there not an m sport wheel. Want 250 for black kidneys, bought knock offs from Taiwan for a 100 (plastic is plastic)

That solves the mystery. I think the combination of the M sport packages and the black rims, grill, and window trims is very very nice.
