Yeah... I know, sorry man. I suggested one final thing to him to compare his Euro files to CatFlap's to make sure they match up 100%...if they do, it's definitely a hardware requirement, unfortunately.
On a positive note, I just removed 8S4 from my FA and VO Coded BDC_Body for the VLD coding for my low beams. They definitely move around a lot now. They seem lower when I'm driving around my neighborhood, especially up hills so it seems like they are smarter...they also turn earlier/quicker as I'm turning right or left - before the turning wasn't as noticeable, but now you can really tell they are moving as you turn. Just for the heck of it, since I'm so particular about the coding I like, I re-coded all my BDC_Body coding that I had lost when I VO Coded BDC_Body to get the Variable Light Distribution. Here's my question. I spoke to @skalberti. He said in order to save a particular CAFD module, I just need to Read Coding Data of that CAFD folder and it generated a .ncd file in C:\Data\CAF. I cleared all the previous read CAFD files and just made sure to save the BDC Body CAFD. I did and it was generated as CAFD_000017BE_005_019_027.ncd. This CAFD had all my BDC_Body coding that I had previous fdl coded. So that's on the side now. I VO Coded after removing 8S4 and that worked. No problem. Now, when I want to restore the generated CAFD that I had saved previously, I just right-click on a CAFD (green dot) and select NEW>FDL. This takes me to C:\DATA\CAF folder. I select the generated .ncd file, but the "code fdl" button does not become active. So, I figure ok let me change something by editing the fdl and then change it back and then save. I do this, and I see that the "code fdl" button becomes active. I code fdl, but it is still the default VO coded settings. So, I still have the 8S4 removed and I had to manually go back into BDC_Body and redo all my fdl coding. So here's the question, how do you get a save your fdl coding if you don't want to keep the new VO coded settings? My plan was originally to just test the VLD coding by removing 8S4 and then reverting back to my previous BDC_Body settings that I had previously coded at the cost of losing the 8S4 removal. Sorry, if this sounds confusing. @shawnsheridan and @skalberti, please let me know. Thanks. I know that when you VO code something, reverting eliminates that VO coding...I remember talking to Shawn S about this and saying it was pointless if you were keeping the FA addition/removal and VO coding. However, for just testing purposes, how would I go about reverting? I have a SAT.xml with my 6WB and 8S4 present. I currently have a new SAT2.xml with 6WB present and 8S4 removed (I manually redid the fdl codes in BDC_Body for this and saved this .ncd on my desktop while it is also present in C:\Data\CAF).

That's a bummer! that totally blows that we might not get anti-dazzle working here in the states, but I really appreciate all the hard work that you guy's do for us in the coding community.

I never tested it. That's odd. So, despite them being enabled, we don't get that same Eco-Pro screen? Are you 100% that you checked all the codes? I'm assuming you were in Eco-Pro when you tested.

Ah, I see. You're positive you searched for it starting from the top DME folder?

Do you mean the iDrive screen or the Ambient lighting? Despite being Automatic, my iDrive stays only the brightness I set it at. Ambient lighting stays the same setting as well that you set it at for day and night.

No, it does not. It just looks way less bright in day time even when it is full brightness. I have mine set to 100% brightness.

I'm sure it's hidden somewhere in BDC_Body because when we VO Code or fdl code BDC_Body, the ambient lights turn off briefly for some coding.

Been searching the whole BDC_BODY. Found some ambient lighting coding in LCIMASTER (3070) and LCICONFIGURATION (3071).
Was able to figure out that below configs are dependent on 563 (LIGHTS PACKAGE) BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > ILE_LIN_VAR = V6c BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > LAYERING_LIN_SLAVES_ANZAHL = F15 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > LESELICHT_HINTEN_VERBAUT = nicht_aktiv [Default] BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > LIN_RGB_SYSTEM_VERBAUT = aktiv BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > MAPPING_LCI_4_FUNCTION = footwell_rear BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > MAPPING_LCI_5_FUNCTION = ovt BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > MAPPING_LCI_6_FUNCTION = cs_1 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > MAPPING_LCI_7_FUNCTION = cs_2 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > PIA_DEFAULT_CS = Farbe_9 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_LAYER_1 = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_LAYER_2 = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_LAYER_3 = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_LAYER_8 = initwert [Default] BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_1_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_10_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_11_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_12_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_13_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_14_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_15_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_16_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_17_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_2_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_3_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_4_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_5_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_6_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_7_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_8_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_9_FKT = F15_F16 BDC_01 > LciConfiguration 3071 > RGB_LIN_SLAVE_FRL_FRONT_LAYER_8 = aktiv BDC_01 > LciMaster 3070 > AMBIENTE_ANZAHL_LIN_LAYER = 3_LAYER BDC_01 > LciMaster 3070 > AMBIENTE_FARBE_FAHRBEREIT = H-Farbwert BDC_01 > LciMaster 3070 > AMBIENTE_FARBE_NICHT_FAHRBEREIT = H-Farbwert BDC_01 > LciMaster 3070 > AMBIENTE_MODUS = RGB Layering BDC_01 > LciMaster 3070 > AMBIENTE_NACHFUEHRUNG = aktiv BDC_01 > LciMaster 3070 > WL = aktiv Now...need to find out which ones really make it happen @shawnsheridan @skalberti -- any thoughts on what to change to make the ambient lighting to turn off automatically during daylight? or if it is even possible? Apologies if this has been covered in this thread already but I haven't seen anything in what I have read so far.
I have the bi-xenon headlamps in a UK spec car which has LED fog lights. One thing that winds me up is that when flashing the headlights in acknowledgement at another car they are so slow to react. I put this down to it moving something inside the headlight rather than flashing another bulb as in most other headlamps. It is almost impossible to get a proper flash, it's either almost nothing or too much, you know what I mean? I know there has been lots of talk about the new LED headlamps but many people still have the "old fashioned" bi-xenons. Does anyone have any codes to increase the reaction speed of the headlights when flashing an acknowledgement like this or point me in the right direction so I can have a fiddle myself. |

@opasha -- can you check what are the values of below codes for your car as it has 6NS by default? If these are off, can you see what happens if you change these. I want to test these on a default 6NS car.
Found some settings to play around with in HU_NBT (works with 6NS coding) 3003 TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE PIM_ACCEPT_CAL_EVENT --> default: nicht_aktiv --> change to aktiv Comment = accepting and declining of calendar supported PIM_EXCHANGE_SUPPORT --> default: nicht_aktiv --> change to aktiv Comment = access to PIM data via MS Exchange WebServices supported PIM_NEW_ELEMENT_TEXT_NOTE --> default: nicht_aktiv --> change to aktiv Comment = Create and synchronize new text note API_IPOD_VIDEO --> default: none --> change to both Comment = activate/deactivate video function of iPod on the first USB or/and on the second USB Wondering why are these disabled Adding some more that I found using F30 coding. KOMBI -- 3000 BC_V_KORREKTUR --> default : aktiv --> change to nicht_aktiv Comment: Removes speed correction and displays actual speed (When testing speed correction turned off, it causes the speed to always be approximately 2 mph lower than Cruise Control set speed.) IHKA -- 3000 OFF_MEMORY --> default : nicht_aktiv --> change to aktiv Comment = Keeps AC turned off/on while starting if it is off/on when stopped. HU_NBT -- 3003 TIMESTAMP_DISPLAY --> default : nicht_aktiv --> change to aktiv Comment = Enable display of time stamps in the incoming calls list(for Inbox) I will let you know once I test these. Then we can add these to the coding sheet. Last edited by Hang0ver; 10-13-2014 at 05:25 PM.. |
