UK order.
I posted my build elsewhere but I guess it should go here! I ordered 31st December and yesterday I received my VIN number and 5055 Confirmed by Production Control. Due to be built next week with a delivery for week 11 (14th March). X5 xDrive 40d M Sport Carbon black 19" 467 wheels (standard) Ivory white Dakota, with black colour Brushed aluminum trim Cold weather pack Seat heating rear Seat heating front Steering wheel heating Active Security package Speed limit display Lane change warning Dynamic safety Comfort seats front Head-up display Harman/Kardon Exterior trim - Matt Aluminium ( I had a 330d M Sport with shadow line and never really liked it. Plus I have Carbon Black so I didn't think black would go too well, a contrast looks better, maybe...) Roof rails Matt Aluminum Panoramic Roof Sun protection glass Third row seating Adaptive LED lights ( includes the LED front indicators and removes the bulb, ) Comfort Access Multi Functional Display Reverse camera Surround view (No, I didn't opt for aux heating, I think I spent enough and a little pointless for us) I'm really looking forward to the car arriving! It's still an extraordinary feeling that metal will be cut, stamped, welded and bits assembled and a car will be made for me, quite honored. |

I second the pic request Shaw. I'm in SoCal and no VIN yet. A had my weekly call with customer relations earlier today and was told the usual, scheduled to start production in the last week of Feb.

TRDanno - What I have seen/read/experienced is anywhere from over the weekend to 3-4ish weeks. Since your build week is the week before mine 3 weeks makes sense. This makes me hopeful mine changes to 112 next week.

Thanks for posting your order progress.
Ordered 12/30. On website it says order documented. Assume this means status 111 "Order Accepted at AG". If I estimate same turnaround than for TRdanno, then I would have about 3 weeks to go until production will get scheduled. This would bring me to a March delivery. Oh my! |

I got my prod num on 12/3... but guessing things are moving a ton quicker now that production on all diesels is not on hold anymore. I will post again when the status changes to in-production to help give others an idea on the timing for their diesel orders.

here are a few exterior views...I will take some interiors tomorrow...
Active Steering & 2VM (Dynamic Comfort Suspensions) are awesome!!! Since we had ordered Fineline Pure Wood Trim + Mocha Nappa Extended Leather, this combo design automatically sets the vehicle into "Design Pure Experience for Interior and Exterior"...which gives you all the leather dashboard, etc. http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...xperience.html Last edited by Shaw; 02-06-2016 at 08:23 PM.. |

Shaw looking good. Space Gray is one of the best BMW colors.
Any indications of the 2016 Diesel changes, like a B5 compatibility label inside the fuel filler flap? |

Congrats. I'll be doing the same so I'll have to put my checklist together. I think of pick up like buying a house, you do the check and put together a punch list. Punch list gets completed prior to pickup.

But after seeing it, it all came together perfectly...since the rims have grey background and they are just made for this color.... also the satin and the Pure Design Experience is excellent.... I'm loving the entire Premium Seats and the leather dash, ceramic controls,... my 2014 was a luxury line...but there is no comparison IMO and this one is miles away and a different class category compared to my 2014... |
