You can always buy them separately.
It would be a good option if you want to go with aftermarket cross drilled or slotted rotor.

Thanks again. You mentioned earlier that you flashed your car and got some additional icons? What does flashing your car system mean? Is it a sw update we can do from the car. Also what additional icons? Many many thanks again for your input.

Thanks. Had m perf with e92. Loved that gold look and drilled rotors. So from that experience i know that to switch is rather costly. On the fence with brembo due to warranty (i assume brembo are supplier for bmw) but defending that with the dealer could be a waste of time.

I don't understand why everybody scared of warranty being voided.
As I mentioned before in this thread or other, the dealer will void the warranty with some excuse just because they are just being a dick or an ass.
I heard a few cases of that, such as; they couldn't warranty the window regulator just because the window was tinted. Or, they couldn't warranty the headlamp, just because you didn't park the car indoor or something. Or, they couldn't warranty the defected wood trim because it is just BMW policy.
If you worry about the warranty so much, you shouldn't even do anything to your car, because somehow someway, they will find a way to void the warranty.
Even if you have BMW parts that wasn't installed by them, they can have excuse to void the warranty.
But think about it, just because of M Performance kidney grill or shifter cover was installed by yourself, to avoid the $100+/hour labor fees, you may have your warranty voided. They can come up with, "Oh, the shifter cover wasn't installed by BMW center, therefore it void the warranty on your transmission".

Id say it is a lot different in europe (austria) at least with the main bmw wien dealer. They are really good but the warranty department that has to approve (i think they are based in salzburg) can be quite difficult. I have to say it goes both ways, like if they mess up smthg they will admit it and fix at their cost. I bought extended warranty and service package from them, so yeah, a bit cautious about it.

Luckily, in the US we are *somewhat* protected by the Magnuson-Moss Act, where the dealer or BMWNA has to show, definitively, that the problem associated with the vehicle was caused by damage while in the possession of the consumer, or by unreasonable use, including a failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance. In other words, if push comes to shove on something like the shifter trim-piece, they better have an engineer ready to show how that caused a problem with the electronics or mechanics of the transmission to void the warranty.

The act was INSTRUMENTAL with a lot of the E9X guys and piggyback tunes (and likely the E7X people too...) and BMW's HPFP issue. Many a warranty was invalidated and then reinstated because BMW couldn't show a causal connection between the tunes and the HPFP failure, especially since many non-tuned vehicles had the problem as well.

Love the look!

Do the open grills affect the aerodynamics or serve a function.. say cooling the FMIC or radiators or brakes?

Thanks. I figure, without it, it looks blend. Big Black grill with emptiness.
Also, when I look on the E70 M Sport, it has the line that makes it sharper.

Open grills didn't affect anything, because mine is 35i. If you have 50i, 1 side is open already to bring air for the oil cooler. If you have M50d, then you have both side open for additional cooler on the other side.
The reason I go with open grill, it is a grill, not a plate.
Also, I might add something in there for some more mods that need cooling.

I had the trim since December, but I decided to go open grill. Which put me back a few months. I was about to install the trim, but then the lock ring is only 1 way, so I can't just install and uninstall it again like if it was just screw on.
When I saw you had it on yours, I couldn't wait to put it on.
I know you don't want your car to be the same with the rest of us, trust me, I know, that's the mod world.
