X5M Squeaky Brakes

I have 3400 miles and it started 2 months ago, took to dealer yesterday - they ordered replacement front brake pads, which are currently on backorder no idea of delivery date...

LOL same story...2015 with 19K miles - 2 visits complaining and a call to BMW NA they finally decided to replace the fronts but they r on back order. Looks like everyone replacing them now. Hope it will help.

The cold weather will be here soon enough and you won't hear any squealing. For me it happens all the time in hot weather.
I replaced the fronts and after a few days the squealing came back with a vengeance. Looking forward to cooler weather.

Apparently someone made a whole new thread about this saying he got new backing plates but he doesn't know any more info than that.

Two questions.

1. Do ceramic brakes eventually squeak too?
2. Does anyone know if the new 2024 X5MC will have ceramic brakes as an option?

I have Power Stop Carbon Ceramic pads on my X5M. After a car wash, my brakes squeak like a stuck pig when I reverse. That annoys that crap out of me. But once the brakes get hot, it goes away. So, I think that it's a combination of moisture condensation between the pad surface and the rotor face.
