Tune change the exhaust noise?

Hey guys! I currently have the eisenmann race exhaust on my 2016 x5m and love it. I'm looking at getting a tune like the race chip for example. I'm wondering if the tune will change the exhaust noise? Will the pop sound during shifting WOT go away or be more loud? Will the turbo sound get any louder? I love all those sounds the car currently make like the farting noises if the tune will make those sounds all louder is what I'm asking? Thanks

The tune won't change the sound.

You need to change the downpipes to increase the sound.

The extra boost won't alter the noise at all?

I'm not a 100% sure (my X5M isn't tuned) , but I would say no.

Came across this when looking at exhaust upgrades - seems to imply there is a difference.

I was reading on a different thread about the race chip tune and it said something about it making the 0-100 acceleration slower by 1.0 second is this true?

I dont believe that is correct. It will probably help to shave .1-.2 sec. The X5M/X6M are running sub 4.0 0-60mph. I have seen those running race chip hitting 3.6 or so.

It is definitely a great upgrade. I have the Dinan S1 and you really feel the car wake up in the higher RPM range, it keeps pulling vs starving for air (stock). Down in low/mid rpms not much of a change, at leafs I can't not really feel it.

Yes it's faster

Yes as it seeks air on a cold start it is louder.

And here it is 8 days later with a 0-100mph at 8.50 seconds. Nothing but RaceChip horsepower. It's a little quicker now.

Ok from my experience, Race Chip doesnt shave ".1 or .2" seconds. I ran 0-60 at 3.5! with crappy gas and Akra exhaust.

The tune will increase the Turbo sound (which is sexy in my opinion) But I am not sure about the overall car sound. But I know for a fact that after breaking in Akra exhaust, it really sounds better and beastier.

the shifts become faster and quicker. Trust me, from time to time after mild driving and you decide to step on it, it will tickle eyour heart and put a smile on your face
